Description (Dublin Core)
AnMed Health is the major business cluster of hospitals in Anderson, South Carolina. In December of 2021 to February 2022, AnMed Health hosted a walk-through clinic to endorse President Biden’s rollout of vaccine and encourage others to receive the vaccine. The clinic was hosted in our major recreational facility, the Civic Center of Anderson and turned the building into one giant doctor’s office, so handed out pamphlets that addressed the common myths of the COVID-19 vaccine and their correlative truths, as well as offered free buttons, bumper sticks, and cups that endorse others to get the vaccines. “I Got the Shot” campaign showed AnMed Health’s collaborative solace with Pfizer/BioTech, Johnson and Johnson, and Moderna pharmaceutical companies and scientists. They were transparent about how the vaccines genetic information had been shared by China early on the pandemic but overall promoted heavily that the ultimate goal was to defeat the pandemic and return the community back to a sense of normalcy. AnMed Health’s walk-in clinic had a major effect on vaccine rates in Anderson, SC, demonstrating how hospitals have become a major source of economic activity for my town of Anderson. Although people may not support the vaccine, a lot more support hospital employees, nurses, and doctors in my community sense so many people are employed in that sector and has kept the town’s economy afloat despite the pandemic.
