This gentleman has been sighted a few times marching around Watertown, MA. He first passed my window on April 2nd and he returned on April 22nd. At first I thought that his sousaphone was decorated to be a dragon, but I later learned from a NBC Boston News story that it is a Loch Ness Monster. He plays songs like "When the Saints Go Marching In" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." I was delighted to see him and told everyone I know about his one-man parade. It truly felt like something out of the TV show M*A*S*H.

During the quarantine, open spaces are at a premium. I found this golf course in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston that was closed and nearly empty. I brought my dog there and she leapt over a stream on an uninhabited hole.

A nurse from one of the top hospitals in the Greater Boston area showing off what materials she uses when having to enter into a possible Covid patient's room. Materials are starting to run short meaning that some items, such as masks and glasses, are having to be reused as health guidelines are relaxed to counter the anticipated shortages.

My little corner in an apartment that I share with three other people in Boston. Normally, I always study in the library at Northeastern, but with the university closed and the risks associated with public transport, my bed serves as my study space as well. It does save energy though. When it’s nap time, I simply put everything on the floor and go to sleep!

This is a photograph of the front door of Caffe Nero in Jamaica Plain, Boston, MA, where I work. The new, shortened hours have been written by hand on the window. Below, two printouts have been printed on the door. One explains that the cafe is open for takeout only, as per the order of the governor earlier in the week. The other announces that the cafe is now giving all healthcare workers free coffee. The cafe closed for an unknown amount of time (at least 2 weeks) the day after this photo was taken.
