Boston's Lawyers for Civil Rights group has continued to offer legal support during the pandemic. The shared this coronavirus response on their website to update those seeking assistance on the work that they are continuing to do, as well as provided numbers of the cases and kinds of cases they have taken. As the PDF states, "The demand for our free legal services has increased exponentially since the start of
the public health and economic crisis. Since March, we have received over 350 requests for legal assistance (intakes). The estimated demographic breakdown is as follows: 55% Black; 25% Latinx; 10% Asian American; and 10% other." The PDF breaks down all of the work lawyers have taken on in addition to work before the pandemic struck, showing that the legal system in America never had a chance to slow down. Lawyers have been risking their lives and potentially exposing themselves to the virus in order to continue working. #NortheasternJOTPY
