Ashley Pierce, a graduate student at Arizona State University, lives in Avondale, Arizona. In this interview, she reflects on the COVID-19 pandemic and how it has affected her life. She highlights the effects the pandemic and quarantine has had an affect on her family life and work at the Sheriff’s detention center. She describes how it has affected her work personally with the passing of co-workers due to the virus. She also touches on the division caused by COVID-19, politics, and the politicization of the pandemic by both sides politically.
