The Oromo community in Minnesota is demanding the United States help bring an end to political violence and restore human rights in Ethiopia.

In recent weeks, the country's Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, has jailed his political opponents and temporarily shut down the country's internet access. Abiy also indefinitely postponed Ethiopia’s general elections which were scheduled to occur this month.
