Text (Omeka Classic)

Just last weekend, the whole pandemic thing really settled in. I hadn't been able to visit my Grammie in so long since she's older and is at high risk, but I finally got the chance. She's been needing some yard work done since she hasn't been able to go outside recently, so my dad and I went over to help. Normally when I go over to visit, my Grammie greets with a big ol' hug and kiss, tries to feed me just about all the food in her pantry, and then we'll ramble on and on about whatever. Last weekend, there was none of that. Grammie had to stay inside for the most part, and I had to keep my distance. We were still able to talk which was good, but visiting her just didn't feel the same. If there's anything I'm looking forward after this while fiasco, it's being able to visit my grandparents again.
