Text (Omeka Classic)
This pandemic has affected my life greatly. During the pandemic, I was left in a state of hopelessness because I would see that people were suffering each day from COVID-19. I would read the news daily, and there would be people in my neighborhood who were catching the disease. The cases were growing, and the fear of others contracting the disease was increasing as well. I have not been in contact with any of my friends since social distancing is extremely important in these times. Throughout this pandemic, I had created a stronger bond with my family. Many people are staying at home with their families, and it truly helps to have family members with you in this crisis. Generally, most people are not used to staying inside the house for weeks or even months without any social interaction, and this has been tough for most people to feel satisfied mentally. It has certainly been rough for me because I would usually look forward to meeting with my friends in person, but I have been speaking to them in various ways, including video calls and texting. Moreover, I have not been able to attend my local religious center because all religious centers are closed until the pandemic has passed away. Everything has shifted all of a sudden, and my life has somewhat changed negatively and positively. Despite feeling worried and upset during the pandemic, it has been a great way of exploring my interests and finding other hobbies. For instance, I have started reading various books with different genres. By staying inside most of the time, it has helped me understand myself better and figure out what I like. Although it does have some benefits, it is not the best way to live life because it starts to feel strange after a while. Eventually, I hope that this pandemic will fade away and be resolved as soon as possible.
