Text (Omeka Classic)

I am a college student working at a fast food restaurant. Currently I am scared for my safety as I am exposed to getting sick and or spreading germs with every passing customer. Before, I didn't feel this way. I applied for this job in January and thought nothing of it. I thought that this could just be a minor job for me to work to safe up money to spend. Everyday had been very normal up until March. I went to work one day and saw all of my coworkers wearing gloves and a mask. I still didn't think the virus was that entirely serious, although I was aware of the amount of collective deaths and sicknesses in my state. The gloves and mask protocol went for about a week, and then soon after we didn't allow any person inside the dining area. Online orders started piling up, and people had to stand outside and order from outside. This was the point at which I took everything seriously. I f it wasn't for this fast food job, I probably wouldn't have seen the seriousness of safety until later.
