n It has been over a month, March 26, since Colorado has announced the "stay at home" orders. There have been some pros and cons during this pandemic, but as the days go by, the positivities are starting to merge and feel like one long day. Firstly, it has been stressful recently as finals for college are coming around the corner. Since classes have transitioned online, it has been difficult learning without in-person teaching. Secondly, as businesses decide to stay closed during COVID, the range of activities is very, very limited. Without the ice rinks, malls, and even the gym, what was such a "normal day" now consists of sitting at home, eating, bodyweight workouts, and decaying entertainment. Lastly, tensions are starting to rise ever so slightly within the family because of the constant involvement with one another during isolation. To resolve most, if not all, of the common lockdown issues, my brother and I make a frequent trip to the local park, where there is an outdoor roller hockey court available to use.

However, quarantine is not so difficult, considering some of the benefits. One advantage is the "responsibility" factor is low. Because businesses are closed, limited places are hiring, especially with the unemployment rates. Confused about what our summer job would be, our family discussed leaving the job openings for those who initially lost their jobs during the pandemic. Therefore, my brother and I have been given the a-okay to be "unemployed" in the meantime. Another advantage of the quarantine is it has made me more productive. On top of eating healthy and staying active, some summer projects such as cleaning the whole garage have already been taken care of. Honestly, it seems as if our entire neighborhood is in the same mindset since loud noise of construction can be heard throughout the day.

In a full outlook of the COVID-19 situation, it is a tough time for all of us, the whole world. I believe the only way through this pandemic, in addition to social distancing, is mental health. If every day was groggy, stressful, boring, and unproductive, then others will start to leave their homes, causing the pandemic to get worse. However, if people were enjoying their time at home, then the chance of the virus spreading is lower, therefore getting us back on course to "normal life." In conclusion, my time here in Colorado at home has been lovely with family and side entertainment, but let's all stay home so we can get through this together.
