Description (Dublin Core)

“You know when you first asked that question or when you sent it to me to look at. I really had not even thought about the question because to me it didn't affect anything with my faith or my beliefs. Yeah, it's like from my perspective we're talking two different things. It would be like blaming my neighbor for something that someone else far away had done and I just can't do that. I can't put blame or change the way I believe about God or about mankind or people based off something someone else has done.”

So, the first question I'm going to ask is how has COVID-19 affected your faith or beliefs?

Speaker 2 0:09
You know, when you first asked that question, or when you sent it to look at I, I really hadn't even thought about the question because to me, it didn't affect anything with my, my faith or my beliefs. Yeah, it just it was it's a non, it’s, it's like. From my perspective, we're talking two different things. It's like blaming, it would be like blaming my neighbor for something that someone else far away have done. And, and I just, you just, I just can't do that. I can't blame. I can't put blame or I can't change my way I believe about God or about mankind or people based off something that someone else has done, of course, because my position on the on the COVID is that it is it is not a natural occurring, it is a created virus.

Speaker 1 1:14
Okay.

Speaker 2 1:15
Yeah.

Speaker 1 1:17
The second question is, is your religious community still gathering currently? How has COVID-19 affected your participation in your religious community?

Speaker 2 1:26
Okay, very good. Yep. It has really taken a hit for our fellowship and our time together with friends and our Sunday morning gatherings. Because probably shortly before, I think before even the governor came out, the church was already moving to video services on Sunday morning. So they are already kind of moved in that direction. And in that respect, it's just more of a inconvenience, because now we, we do zoom meetings, we'll have large group meetings over zoom. But as far as meeting in large groups, it just doesn't happen. We may, we may meet at the park, myself and a friend and talk often at a park bench. That's about the best we can do right now as far as getting together and having fellowship.

Speaker 1 2:27
Interesting. All right. And the last question is, is your religious community supplying or engaged or engaging any kind of community service in an attempt to help alleviate issues caused by the pandemic?

Speaker 2 2:44
So the very first week that this whole thing started with the, the online Sunday morning messages and where the church was shut down, they had said, you know, any giving they were matching it to by the personal protective devices in trying to help offset that for people that needed them in the in the health services.

Speaker 1 3:18
Awesome. All right. Well, those are my questions for the COVID-19 religious interview.
