Description (Dublin Core)

Poem written by my 82 year old grandmother, Janice Simone Simon who says the pandemic is bringing her down because she is old and doesn’t have much time left and doesn’t want to spend the time she does have left in her home.
HIDDEN

This plague took us unaware
From beyond the sea in shadow.
Replaced our easy ways with fear.
So unexpected a killing blow.

Get up and fight
Protect and Shelter,
We'll stay apart but attack together.
Put on your mask and armor!

The enemy is small but nasty
Unseen until invasion
We don't hide, but we are ideen,
Working on a weapon-- innoculation.

In time, those easy ways return.
I promise, we will recover.
We will join our friends to dance and sing.
Our song, our anthem-- "Move closer."
