Okay. Hi, my name is Daniel Lopez, and I'm an undergraduate student at ASU enrolled in HST 494. The date is February 21, 2021. And the time is 9:09. And I'm speaking with Isabel Peralta. I want to ask you a question about your pandemic experience. But before I do, I would like to ask for your consent to record this response for the COVID-19 Archive. COVID-19 Archive is a digital archive at ASU that is collecting pandemic experi-, experiences. Do I have your consent to record your response and add it to the archive with your name?
Isabel Peralta 1:09
Yes, you do.
Daniel Lopez 1:12
Thank you. First, can you tell me your name, age, race and where you currently live?
Isabel Peralta 1:20
My name is Isabel Peralta, I'm 66 years old. I live in El Paso, Texas.
Daniel Lopez 1:29
Okay, and now I'd like to ask-
Isabel Peralta 1:32
...and I'm Hispanic.
Daniel Lopez 1:35
Okay thank you. We've experienced a lot of changes in 2020. And many have been negative and disruptive, but perhaps not all bad. What's one positive thing that you've experienced during the pandemic?
Isabel Peralta 1:59
Well just trying to stay safe. And plus, I already had some pneumonia.
Daniel Lopez 2:14
So just being safe? The vaccines that you were telling me about earlier too?
Isabel Peralta 2:21
Yes, because I already took my two vaccinations.
Daniel Lopez 2:25
Yeah.
Isabel Peralta 2:26
And trying to keep my distance from people.
Daniel Lopez 2:29
Mm hmm. Okay. That was it. So, thank you, Tia. Thank you for your time.
Isabel Peralta 2:39
Okay, thank you.
Daniel Lopez 2:41
