Description (Dublin Core)
In the past 2 year basketball has become a huge part of my life, and it's a way for me to escape from reality. In the beginning of the pandemic my first basketball season was already over so I was able to experience a normal year for basketball, except for the conditioning that usually comes after the season. During this time it was unknown how long COVID would last so we weren't sure whether we would have a normal season for the following school year. And leading to the the the time we would normally have our season we realized that there wouldn't be a season for that school year. However there was still hope for there to be a season later in the spring. But we were losing hope as the year went on due to the fact that there was no word of there being a season. Last minute, there was an announcement that there would be a season for the 2020-2021 school year. However, it was very last minute due to the fact that we had one month to practice after finding out what our teams were. I'm grateful that we even had a season, but honestly it wasn't the best season due to the fact that we had 6 games and didn't do very well during these few games. So COVID ultimately impacted my life as a whole, but it greatly impacted my basketball season. Thankfully this year it was back to normal, or as normal as it could be with COVID still present.
