Final Thoughts and Statistics of COVID
Corona Virus statistics show that up until we had the vaccine the number of people who had it increased day to day and once the vaccine was released the amount of people affected has gone down. I have not personally been affected by corona virus except by having a couple friends and a teacher who had it. I was near those people and had to stay home for ten days due to the exposure. Some things I have enjoyed in this Covid season are being able to have tons of free time to do whatever I want, such as redecorating my bedroom and invest and watch the stocks from day to day, but also having too much free time is not fun when you have nothing to do. I have also experienced having to stay overly clean washing my hands every twenty minutes and wearing a mask out in public which are definitely things that I have not enjoyed. This has been a very eventful year with Corona Virus. -

Statistics with COVID
Living in California during the pandemic was a struggle. With how big the population is and the governor, the entire thing was a mess. First off corona itself took over California with how greatly populated the state was but, our current governor used statistics in a way to shut the state down not in the right way and could not prove what science he was using to shut the state down so, he has to open up the state again since he could not prove any of his statistics. -

Thoughts on COVID
As we reach the 10th month of the pandemic, it's important to know where we are at. The statsics of COVID right now, for the USA, are a total of 25.3 million cases and 421 thousand deaths. It might not seem like much compared to the population, but it sure is. I haven't had any close friends or family that have contracted COVID, but it seems that the effect it has is different for everyone. My final thoughts on COVID has both made us learn many things and at the same time, it has it's bad things. We've learned and had a bunch of experiences thoughout these 10 months, and I soon hope that this all would be over. Whenever I think about all the precautions and stuff we do during COVID sometimes makes me laugh. Not that any of this is funny, but we aren't used to this, and it feels like we are too careful. -

Covid-19 Statistics
When Corona Virus started, there wasn't many or even any cases in America. The first case was on January 19th, 2020, a man from Washington State was traveling back from Wuhan, China. He experienced symptoms and tested positive only 4 days after he got back. Now in January of 2021, we have had 25,000 new cases in the past 5 days. The cases have been going down since the holidays are over, and I hope that it will be over for good soon. It's been a lot going through a global pandemic, and having to wear masks and stay at home. It affects a lot of people and their mental health as well as their personal health. Being back at school has helped me not repeat the same day over and over again, and get back to the new 'normal'. -

Tested Positive
In my close circle I haven't had anyone that has been tested positive for Covid-19. In the big circle, there have been a few though. All of them were school related. Some student in school were sent home for a week because one of their students got sick, and one of the teachers in my grade also got sick, but since I was indirectly related I didn't get affected. Most of the times where someone remotely close to me got Covid, I wasn't effected in any way. -

My grandma and grandpa having Covid-19.
My grandma and grandpa had Covid in November, before thanksgiving. My grandma got it from a nurse that had it from her work and then she got it and passed it on to my grandpa. My grandma had it for 3-4 weeks. She had a fever, cough, lost of taste, shortness of breath, body aches. My grandpa had it for about 2 weeks. He had body aches, headaches and a slight cough. My grandma has to go to the Los Robles Hospital because she had shortness of breath. The doctors helped her by giving her some oxygen, some antibiotics, steroids, plasma with with antibodies, Vitamin D and C, and Zinc. My grandpa did not have to go to the hospital. They are all fine now but that was a little scary when my grandma had to go to the hospital. -

My Covid Experience
In December of 2019, I believe I had COVID-19. For a few weeks I was coughing uncontrollably, like hyperventilating but coughing. It was terrible, once I started coughing it felt like it never stopped. I had to take Sudafed's, cough drops, and NyQuil even just to fall asleep. It was terrible. I got my whole entire family sick, even my mom! Which was odd because she never, I mean never gets sick. My parents decided to take me to urgent care, where they swabbed my throat. Tested the swab and nothing came back positive. So they decided to do a chest x-ray, and I did not have pneumonia. After all of these tests and x-rays, they just said, we have no idea what she has but she has something. It was kind of scary to hear that. After the next week or so I finally recovered. It was a really rough few weeks and probably the worst cold I had ever had. To wrap up, I believe I had COVID-19 in December 2019. -

My friend tested positive
When I heard my friend and her parents tested positive, I was freaking out. I was planning to hang out with her soon and if another friend hadn't told me, that would've been very bad. She was actually going to come to school and I was thinking if she would, I wouldn't be near her. But thankfully, she "changed her mind." I don't want to get exposed to covid even though it doesn't have a big affect on me. I have parents working in the medical field and it would make me feel so guilty. Since June, I've been hanging around with one specific girl and only sometimes we add this other one. I just always have an eerie feeling in public places now. And a guilty one when I think about it too much. I always try and be responsible and take others in account. -

No more sports
I woke up one day got ready for school put my water polo stuff in my bag and I was out the door. I was excited to train so I could get ready for a big tournament coming up. I ask my dad, what time is practice. HE said people in the high school got Covid so practice is canceled for a couple of weeks. A couple of weeks I said. Then I won't be able to train for the tournament. He said yeah I know we are just going to have to figure out another way. So I had to find out a way to practice without a pool. -

How covid has affected me
Me personally has not been affected to much by covid. No one in my family or friends has even tested positive. The hard part for me is that i am not allowed to see my grandparents without wearing a mask and social distancing. My nana is ok we go to lunch and hang out sometimes but my grandparents are paranoid. Luckily my grandparents got the vaccine early with no side affects and now once we get it we will be able to see each other. -

Symptoms of Covid-19
Throughout 2020 there has been many different symptoms of Coronavirus. The main ones are fever, sore throat, coughing. I had a personal experience with one of my family members getting the virus. It was my great grandma. My great grandma was my biggest hero. She went through many obstacles in her life including; World War 2, she was a model for Norway, and she even beat a pandemic. On November 4 2020 my family and i found out my great grandma was diagnosed with Coronavirus. Now she had many health issues and we all knew the virus would not help that. On November 8th she tested negative. We were all very happy she made it through. The next day she was not doing well and she passed away. She was surrounded by family on zoom to talk to her and I will never forget how amazing she was. -

Known people tested positive with Covid-19 [PRIVATE - DUPLICATE]
I barely known people that had gotten Covid. I think it’s because my surroundings are pretty safe. I haven’t experience seeing anyone with Covid-19. -

What happens when the virus isn't a mystery anymore.
Several months into Covid and the virus was still really a mystery to me. I had heard stories and new the facts about Covid, but I hadn't experienced it or knew anyone who had. However, that changed when someone I knew had tested positive for covid. During a school activity, I had been right next to them, I could have got Covid as well! However, I didn't show any symptoms and was fine even after a few weeks. Even though I had to quartine for a while I was fine. However, it showed me that Covid was no joke and I became more aware of the virus and really how quickly it can spread. -

A personal story of how I have been affected by someone testing positive.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, I had both sides of my family get it. My dads parents and my cousins, and my cousins on my moms side. This was really hard because I usually visit them every holiday or try to at least. Since they had COVID I wasn't aloud to see them or visit them. This was really hard because since wasn't aloud to see them I didn't know if it would be there last day, my grandparents are all 80+. This was a personal story of how I have been affected by someone in my life getting COVID-19. -

Testing Positive
My sister tested positive for COVID and everything in our house went down on lockdown. She was only sick for a day and no one else got sick. This is this scary virus that is killing people by the thousands. If your young its no problem but I will say be weary if your older. -

How covid affected me
I was driving back from Mammoth when my mom got the email that someone in my church that we see every week got covid. I immediately got worried because I was spending time with them at church. After we got that email, we realized that we had to be more aware of how close the virus was to home. We all got tests the next day and panicked until we got the results that we were all negative. This experience was very stressful and I do not think I want to relive that feeling. -

Symptoms of Covid-19
Some symptoms of Covid-19 that I know of are a fever, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, fatigue, vomiting, etc. I know multiple people that has contracted Covid-19 in my life such as my uncle, my aunt, and my cousins. I was shocked that they actually got Covid-19, and even now they are still recovering. Also, my history teacher tested positive for Covid-19 a couple days ago. He said that he and his family are feeling better. I am very glad that most people who get Covid-19 recover fully. Overall, I am really afraid for my parents, my grandparents, and my family. Covid-19 is spreading quickly, but I am very thankful that the people in my family who tested positive, are now feeling better. I hope more people will recover from this virus and be stronger from it too! -

COVID symptoms
my brother in law had COVID for a week and the symptoms he had was that he couldn't taste anything or smell. At some points it was hard for him to breathe. My friend also had COVID, but his symptoms were different he still was able to taste things but he couldn't smell anything and he said he didn't have a hard time breathing. -

The Spread of Corona Virus
I have a fairly large friend group and around halloween a couple of my friends got corona. So on Halloween there were 3 different parties to split up the friend group, so that it would be safer for corona. At one of the parties there was this girl there and her brother had corona (but she didn't know it at the time). So everyone she was with got it, including her. Then they had to quarantine and stay away from everyone for 3 weeks. I felt really bad for them because it seemed really lonely. I have also gotten tested multiple times and it felt really weird and my nose started running. I am glad that I have these experiences to learn and grow from. -

"Share a personal story of how you have been affected by someone testing positive. Likewise, if you have had Covid, share what that was like."
Corona started around 8 months ago and it has taken a toll on everyone's social life and jobs. For a while, I never thought corona would affect anyone close to me and I was never too worried about catching the virus. Until one of my close friends left my house to go see her stepmom for her birthday and she caught corona from her. It lasted around 2 weeks and she lost her taste but it didn't affect her that hard she tested again after 2 weeks and she didn't have covid. After this situation it made me realize that corona isn't just something you hear about on the news, it's all around you. -

Covid symptoms
Neither me or my family has gotten COVID but two of my closest friends got it along with their family. One of the families didn't feel any symptoms but had to get tested for sports. When it came back positive they quarantined but only two of them felt sick. They described it as what a cold feels like, "just a little out of it". The other family I know actually felt very sick. When the parents felt sick they got tested and where posited but only 1/4 kids were positive too. Their symptoms were head aches, fever, and stomach aches. Loosing smell and taste is very common but I don't know any one who dealt with that. I know a few people who thought they had it, tested and came back negative. After going to the doctors it turned out to be the flu. I got tested for sports over the summer despite feeling normal (everyone who trained had to do it) and it came back negative it was rather uncomfortable but not painful. I wasn't very nervous I was positive but I was nervous the test would hurt. I know a few people who said they wouldn't be surprised if they had it and probably did at one point but never tested to confirm or deny their theory. Even though its very well possible. -

Experience With Covid Within the Family and Peers
I really haven't experienced that much of covid within the family except me getting into close contact and receiving symptoms after. My family has been lucky and no one serious in my family has received covid but, I know many people who have covid and sadly, I know someone who passed away too from it. Even though my family hasn't gotten anything serious yet, we are still very alert and strict on what we can and not do. -

My Experience with a Positive Covid Test
I personally haven't really been affected by Covid, but I have had a few friends who tested positive. It was kind of funny because the two friends that I would talk with every day and hang out with were the two to get it. One of my friends tested positive on Christmas Eve and the other tested positive a few days before Christmas. I didn't know for a while because of Christmas plans and holiday festivities, so it wasn't a huge deal, but we couldn't get together for new years' which was kind of sad. -

How People I Know Testing Positive Has Affected My Life
My grandparents tested positive right after Thanksgiving, but we didn't go up there since they were not feeling well. Other than that, my orthodontist and his wife tested positive, but I haven't had/needed an appointment in quite a while. That is just about it. -

Symptoms of COVID
Many people who have had COVID have suffered from terrible symptoms ranging from fevers to dry coughs to headaches. When I had COVID, I had very mild symptoms, and I feel very lucky for that. The most I suffered from was a light headache and minor loss of smell, and that lasted only a few days in itself. My aunt on the other hand suffered from horrible symptoms. She had a fever 24 hours a day and couldn't even get out of bed; that's how sick she was. She got the worst end of the bargain. My dad, like me, had mild symptoms. Like me, his sense of smell was gone for only a little bit, but he had a horrible dry cough and a scratchy throat. Now, this may be because they are way older than me, but I still feel extremely lucky that my health didn't diminish. A lot of people have had horrible experiences with COVID, resulting in awful, long sickness, or even death, and I think that my experience with COVID was so much better. My heart goes out to those who are still suffering from this plague, and I recognize how fortunate I was to have had such little symptoms. -

Covid Procedures
Some Covid procedures are wearing a mask at almost all times outside. It makes sense and is helpful but I don't like wearing it. Wearing it for 7 hours at school hurts my ears, and exercising in one makes it hard to breathe. It is for our safety and our protection but it gets a little tedious. Social distancing is not very bad. Basically, as long as you are not giving high-fives and fist bumping, your fine. Some people take procedures more seriously than others, so it depends on who your with. Covid procedures make sense but can be a little annoying. -

Covid-19 Symptoms
One of my friends I know got covid. He lives and London and got it from his brother. His brother was coming home from university and got it for the 2nd time and brought it home. His brother spread it to his dad and him, but not his mom or older brother. He wasn't sick and was A-Symptomatic. He recovered quickly and still has the antibodies. Another friend of mine got covid, Anna. She was very sick and had a fever, loss of smell and taste, and shortness of breath. She got better after 2-3 weeks, but she still can't smell or taste anything after 6 months. -

COVID-19 Possible Symptoms
[REDACTED] Covid-19 has been a thing for quite a while now, and the vaccines for he virus had come out. On Thursday, when my _________ teacher, ______________, did his daily COVID-19 test, he came up negative for COVID-19, but on Friday, he came up positive, making anyone who was in his class on Friday need to stay at their homes for a week and a half. On the Zoom Room that he used to come into the class without actually being there, he discussed he had a light fever, and he coughed excessively. It was nothing bad in his case, and he will be able to survive it just fine, despite his age. -

When you are given COVID-19, there are many symptoms you can have. Such of these are fevers, coughing, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, etc. They are very horrible symptoms. However, we don't know the long term effects, and I hope they stay well for a long time. -

Coronavirus in My Community
Fortunately, not very many people I know have gotten COVID-19. Maybe two or three people I know, at most, have tested positive since quarantine started. For my mom's birthday in the beginning of January, my parents decided to do a wine tasting event at our house. There was a moderate amount of people there, about twenty I'd say. My friend's parents were there and had just gotten back from visiting family in Ohio. My parents were sure to warn everyone invited that they may have been in contact with the virus during their traveling, but had not tested positive, yet. Unfortunately, a couple days after the party, almost their whole family had tested positive for COVID-19. Everyone that attended the party was on the lookout for potential symptoms afterward, as they have been in contact with the couple who tested positive. This couple had very minor symptoms and never felt severely unwell during the infection. Most people my family, friends, or family friends know that have gotten COVID have never experienced severe symptoms, but it's possible for them to become severe. Symptoms can consist of a fever or chills, coughing, shortness of breath/trouble breathing, fatigue, body aches, loss of taste/smell, sore throat, sinus congestion, nausea or vomiting, and/or diarrhea. I am thankful that my family and I have never gotten COVID and few people we know have. -

"Consider some of the rules or procedures that you have to follow, and tell your feelings about them."
Corona started around 8 months ago, this virus has taken lives, jobs, and everyone's social life. When the Virus started spreading worldwide, we were given a set of rules to follow. The rules are to stay inside, social distance, wear a mask when in a public place, and wash your hands. I agree with all these rules because they are set in place to stop this virus from spreading. -
2021-01-19
The rules of Covid-19
During Covid-19 many rules were erected to "slow the spread" of Covid-19, a lot of these procedures people didn't like and they often disobeyed them putting their and others health at risk. I partially agree with these people I do not love the new regulations but I them necessary. Take wearing a mask for example, the mask makes it hard to breath and can be suffocating for some degree some people don't wear them at all, but i can say that mask do indeed work. My first hand experience was during a "wellness Wednesday" that our school did to have people come to get together and do activities, i was in the same group as someone who later tested positive for Covid and I didn't get Covid at all. So although the procedures aren't fun they are very necessary. -
0021-01-19
COVID rules
The rules that I have to follow are stay six feet apart, and wear a mask. I don't really have issues with these rules because I don't want to be sick, but if I had to say one thing that I don't like is always wearing the mask because sometimes and can be hard to breath especially if i have to wear one while im playing a sport. -
2021-01-19
Rules to follow
When covid first started I don't think anyone knew what to do. Everyone was like wear a mask do this do that. I mean it really didn't seem necessary even now it still doesn't. I got called creepy for not wearing a mask. I think that yes we should take precautions but we also shouldn't have to be locked up. I mean eventually everyone is going to get covid. I mean there is really no escaping that. I mean we have to wear a mask, social distance, we can't eat inside any more. And I think it is the most idiotic thing ever in the history of things. I mean I get it if you are scared of covid I will respect you and keep my mask on but I mean come on really we can't take our masks off... At ALL! near ANYONE! In the entire time our nation has been around we have never EVER had to shut everything down. I understand masks and taking precautions and if your sick stay home but really lock down. I am just so fed up with this stupid covid lockdown. -
2021-01-19
rules and procedures
For COVID-19, there are many rules to follow. Some are wearing a mask and being socially distanced. I have had a struggle following these in my everyday life. I think that some don't make sense because of others. For example, having to wear a mask outside, even though the government says that outside is wear you can take your mask off. They totally cancel each other. One of my teachers got COVID-19 and I had to stay home for 1 week to make sure that I am ok. I personally don't understand this because I have no symptoms and feel fine. Over all, it is a lot of work to go anywhere because of all of the rules. -

Rules and Procedures
There have been many rules and procedures we have needed to follow during this COVID journey. From wearing masks to staying in our houses, they haven't been the most convenient, but they have been able to keep us safe (for the most part), and that is what counts. Today, I am going to write about my experience when I had COVID. I was the only person in my family who tested positive, and that meant I had to self quarantine. It was one of the worst times of my life, but it made me realize how much I had taken for granted. I was locked in my room for 7 days straight, and I could only come out to go to the bathroom or retrieve my food. It was a painstaking schedule. All I did was wake up, eat, do school, eat, go to bed. I thought it was never going to end, for those 7 days felt like 7 years. It was really weird to have my parents bring food to my room; I was so used to eating at the dining table and recounting my days' stories with my family. It was really hard and I felt very lonely not being able to see my family for that long. When the 7 days were up, I was aloud out of my room, but my parents were still cautious. They made me wear a mask when I wasn't eating and made me kind of social distance. It was maddening that I was finally free, but I was still contained, but I now realize that this was the best thing for their safety. Because of my experience, I have learned that the rules and procedures that are set in place by the government are there for our safety, and I will never take them for granted again. -

The 1st moments of Covid 19
Much earlier, I rode horses in a place called Spirit, a horseback riding camp where horses would be boarded and ridden. At that place, there were 2 equestrian dressage trainers (there were many more in the facility, but I did not interact with them) called Kim and Madalin. One of the 2 came to the facility with a running cold and slight fever, the EXACT symptoms of COVID-19. Thing is, COVID-19 was not in the media yet. It was only about the start of January. Then, the fever spread like wild fire across the facility, just as infectious as COVID-19. Again, COVID-19 was not in the media yet, and nobody was scared about it, jus mad at Madalin for brining the fever to the facility. Everyone got it, but everyone recovered just fine. Then the lockdowns started to occur around the date listed. Nothing changed much about my life because of it, since most of my life was spent indoors already. The only major thing was the need to do school digitally rather than in person. It was a big change, but not as big as some of the other people who was put into quarantine. This continues for quiet a while... -

COVID restrictions
I have followed the protocols and restrictions as best I can, but there are always people who think we're not doing enough. One story was when my grandmother was shopping, and when she got out of the store, she took her mask off. Someone saw her with here mask off while she was putting her groceries in her car, and someone doing the same near her saw someone wearing a mask and walking by, and he said rather loudly (so my grandmother could hear him), "Oh good, you're wearing a mask. Some people don't." My grandmother almost walked over to the man and said, "Oh, you mean this mask?" waving her mask around. This is an example of people passively shaming people, and I do not like that. -

Coronavirus Rules & Procedures
Once quarantine began, rules and procedures were rather lightly enforced. Masks were worn here and there and social distancing was overrated. Not many people chose to wear masks as they were not required yet. Everyone was aware of COVID lurking around the country, but not many were concerned until cases began rising in local counties. As this happened, many stores and businesses started requiring masks, social distancing, etc. I wasn't a fan of it at all, like most, but I began appreciating it for safety as months past. Thankfully, there has only been a couple people I know that have tested positive. Fortunately, there also has not been any bad encounters with following rules and procedures in public. I am currently so fed up with all these overwhelming, complex rules and quarantining, but I understand they are enforced for health and safety reasons. -

Virtual Learning
My virtual learning experiences wee pretty diverse. First, I needed to go on Zoom every morning on the weeks at home. Second, I needed to finish my work at home. Third, do the same thing again every week. I think that I have learned a lot of things in school while Zooming with my partners and teachers to go through different learning topics in my house. One of the obstacles in virtual learning are when you have hear something different that the teacher had said because of audio issues, technological issues and more. -

My experiences while learning virtually.
My experiences while learning virtually had some good things and some bad things. Some of the good things were I didn't have to get dressed and could show up in a sweatshirt and sweatpants. Another thing is It was easier to do homework and get it done because we had plenty of time during class. Some of the negatives were that Wi-Fi sometimes wouldn't work or my assignments wouldn't be submitted. Some other things would be getting a hold of teachers and getting help outside of class was really hard aswell. Those are my experiences while learning virtually. -

Learning Virtual
During the COVID 19 Pandemic, we were not around to go to school. So we had to do online school over zoom. Online school had some pros and cons. So pros are getting to sleep in, getting to eat in class, and wearing pajamas in class. Some cons are you don't get to see your friends, you aren't able to meet new friends, you can't ask question very easily over zoom, you aren't able to see everyones face very easily and many more. I think that Oaks did an amazing job on Virtual Online Learning. We actually had attendance, we had on person days on Wednesday, we didn't have to wear a uniform, and many more. Overall, Oaks did an amazing job with Virtual Learning and it was a very cool experience too have. -

My 2020 Online School Expierence
Almost my whole 2020 was in online school. I would wake up later in the morning, have breakfast, brush my teeth, and start school from my room. It was much easier than in-person. I would be on Zoom most of the day, and stay on my computer after school to do homework. Most of my day is in my room. There were some benefits to this, however. I could go do something right after school instead of having to drive home and all that. It was easier because everything was on the computer. But I didn't like it too much because I didn't get to see my friends and I just like being in-person more. Overall, you get used to it after a while, but I still prefer in-person school. It wasn't really that bad, it just could be boring. -

Virtual Learning
My experience with virtual learning during this pandemic hasn't been the most positive. Gosh, it's been almost 10 months since we started. The beginning was exciting I guess because I thought it was just a break from the normal, boring school day. But, boy was I wrong. After a while, the routine of waking up, doing school, going to sleep was getting very repetitive. Don't get me wrong, I liked not having to wake up at 6:30 every single morning, but I started to get angsty. I felt like I wasn't focusing on schoolwork and tests as I should have been, and I definitely did not retain any of the information that I was taught. After a while, I not only was bored and anxious, but I was also very lonely too. I did not like the fact that I didn't get to socialize with my school friends and teachers every single day. On top of that, I wasn't allowed to see my friends yet because my parents were very strict. Summer was even worse. At least I had a day to day schedule with online school, but when it came to summer, I had nothing to do. By end of June, I was allowed to hang out with friends again, but it wasn't the same. This year, I actually transferred to a new school for 8th grade. That would normally be hard because I am socially awkward, but the fact that we didn't even go in person made it far worse. It took me a while to feel comfortable in all of my classes and meet people. Also, it was a really big change because I used to go to public school and we only had 2 hours a day of online school, but at my new private school, we had school from 8-2:45 every day. Although it is what I would normally do in person, it felt like a large shift from before, and I thought I was going to fall behind. Thankfully, I met a lot of people who helped me adjust just fine. Now, it is January and we are back in person. Although online school was a struggle, it made me realize how much I took school for granted. I think it also helped us grow and mature greatly. -

Remote Learning
When COVID_19 started to hit California I was in my second semester of 7th grade. On March 13, 2020 my school announced that we were closing down and switching to online learning. That last day of normal school we prepared our zoom meetings, schedules, and we said our goodbyes. At first everyone thought we were shutting down for two weeks, like and extended spring break. Who knew it would go on for 11 months. My first online school day was wake up 10 minutes before my first class, eat breakfast, and log on at 8am. Simple right? No my wifi decided to shut off and I couldn't attend my first zoom meeting. I email my teacher and got it figured out. I have 3 more classes that day and by the end it felt weird. That same feeling went on for about 4 months. I would facetime my friends every night and talk about our computer issues. Then it started to become normal. The last day of 7th grade I pressed "End meeting" and said wow that was really 7th grade. It felt like something was missing. Summer came and it was very boring, I was excited to even go on a walk. 8th grade rolled around and we were still online. It was my new normal and so I didn't mind it. I was missing my friends more than ever though. I got through the semester and I went to Colorado for winter break. After I got home my school announced we were going back. I was very excited. I thought everything was going to go back to normal besides wearing masks. The first day was very weird we stayed 6 feet apart, my dance class was outside, my hands were dry from hand sanitizer. It was very crazy, but overall I am very thankful to be back and school and have human interaction again. -

Remote Learning
Virtual learning was easy for me, but I did not like it. I do not like having to do things on my computer, and I did not learn as well as I did previously. However, I learned many things that I usually would not have learned such as keyboard shortcuts, ways to access things on my computer more quickly, and many other computer skills. I learned how to type more quickly, I learned the better ways to take pictures for a clearer image, and I got into a few fields of learning that I never would have tried. Even though 2020 was a difficult year, it taught me many good skills and lessons. After 2020, I have become a much more well-rounded person. -

Online learning
In the beginning, I got up earlier for school at 7:15 because school started at 8. In the end, I got up at 7:50, because I got so bored of looking at my computer and didn't want to get up. It was good because I could hang out with my mom or sisters during the day. That was also the worse too, I got so sick of seeing the same people everyday. I think that the worst part of online school was that you didn't interact with anyone. I also didn't like being on my computer/zoom all day, because it got so boring. Also if you had a question about homework you had to email your teachers and sometimes they didn't reply until after the homework was due. I have to admit that our school made it very easy, but stilll had us engaged the whole time. It had its pros and cons. -

My experience with remote learning
Learning remotely was a lot different than learning at an actual school. I didn't like learning virtual very much and I like learning at school much better. However, there were some benefits like sleeping in and having longer breaks. I did not like doing everything on my laptop because it is not good for your brain and it makes your eyes really tired. My days were very boring and I didn't get to socialize with my friends. I stayed home all day and most of my day was spending time on my laptop or phone. On a normal day, I would wake up and then get ready and then get on my laptop and do school and eat lunch and then stay home for the rest of the day. -

The Cause of Covid
I believe that Covid was started in all of the dirty towns of China. I think that because of the unsanitary conditions. Bacteria could have easily collected there, creating this contagious virus. Because it is a frequent place of visitation, it easily spread to mass quantities of people, who did not quarantine themselves. It then spread to America from trade. Because there is much a large trade between the US and China, it was perfect for the virus to spread. -

What I think about who or what is the cause of this virus.
I believe that this started through the dirty meat markets in China. Somebody bought bat soup from the meat market that had all kinds of bacteria and viruses in it. This could have happened because of how crowded, contaminated and unsanitary they are at the meat markets. I am not completely sure if this is the reason but this is what I heard from the news.
