Hosts break down after quarantined man’s mother passes away | Today Show Australia
This is a heartbreaking story from Australia about a man who flew around the world to try to get to his dying mother, only to have the Queensland government block his way. So many people across the globe had to die alone without their loved ones because of this pandemic. Hospitals and governments need to come up with a safe system to allow for visitation of dying relatives during pandemics because, sadly, this will likely happen again in the future. -

Less family
Usually for thanksgiving my aunt, uncle, cousins, and grandma come to our house. My grandma has lived by my house since I was born until about 4 years ago, when she moved back to Israel. She is an essential part of our thanksgiving, she helps out with the cooking a lot and is an important family member. This year, she was not able to come because COVID could not let her get a flight to our city. It was very sad because we would miss her and we had to do a lot more cooking, which was stressful. However, I know it is for good because we are keeping eachother safe. -

Travel During Covid
Travel during Covid what mostly like any other travel, just with a mask, and people didn't actually want to sit right next to you waiting to board the flights. The actual flights were different, though. The seats were not filled unless you were a member of a party travelling together. That being said, my first class ticket as a single travelling passenger with no other members of my party allowed me to have a full row to myself unlike most flights where everyone is seated in close proximity whether you know the passengers seated next to you or not. It was actually nice in terms of people respecting personal space. -

Chronicles of quarantine
This is a diary of 8-week quarantine. Coming back from another country at the beginning of pandemic, hospital, some sad thoughts - it is an unfinished diary. Life continues and we should get used to the new world so I stopped this diary. Although in my home country, Belarus happens worse things that I described in a diary. We have revolution right now, people die, peaceful protesters are bitten, tortured, and gotten to prison. But it’s a whole another part of my life, which I could not even imagine at the beginning of a pandemic. So enjoy the diary of innocent and naive Yana from the past.
