Family
Since the pandemic began, I was not able to see any family members that lived out of state. One of which is that no one was wanting to travel to see anyone for a family gathering. Instead, there have been a couple of times we would be together in a zoom video call meeting to see how everyone was doing. It is not the same as being able to hug a family member that you haven’t seen in over a year since they live out of state. -

Wear a mask to church in 2020
As everything started to open back up, I had to wear a mask to church. Having to wear a mask to church was not easy when singing along with the worship service. Especially when you attend a service with loved ones for the holidays. -

Trip to Hawaii 2021
Back in April of 2021, I had the opportunity to fly out to Hawaii for a quick vacation to see my fiance. In order to do so, my fiance’s parents and I were required to sign up with Hawaii’s Safe Travels Program and have a negative test about 72 hours prior to the trip. While flying, we were required to wear a mask during the whole length of the flight. Even out there, there were some parts of the island where we were even required to wear masks outdoors and in a spacious area. -

Working at Amazon 2020
When things started to slowly open back up, I had decided to work at a nearby Amazon warehouse. While working there, it was difficult to perform the different tasks since everyone was required to wear a mask and maintain social distance from another coworker. In hearing instructions from people or someone to ask you a question, it was hard to hear someone while having to wear a mask in the work field. -

Summer Camp 2020
Last summer, I was employed by the Boys Scouts to work at one of the boy scout summer camps located in Georgia. To meet all health guidelines, we were required to wear masks, have weekly Covid testing, and make sure that we did not get sick on the property. Summer camp had only lasted between three and four weeks before we had to close, and send everyone home early. -

Italy Trip 2020 Cancelled
At the end of my senior year, before graduating with a Bachelor's, I was supposed to take a trip with a small group of students and a couple professors to Italy. When the pandemic hit, the school decided to cancel all summer course studies abroad. The trip itself was supposed to be a great way to end my senior year before I graduated. I was very much excited to finish my undergrad years with this one trip to Italy.
