Morning after testing
A sunny morning. A view from my hotel balcony. This shows the testing tents and the registration office. -

Test subject N.
Just like everyone, I got a pinkish colored liquid in a tube and lined up to enter the tent. There two steps to the test. One is a mouth swab, close to the throat. The second one is a nostril swab, which was very uncomfortable. -

Food?
Everyone was starving at about 10 pm. There weren't any shops at the airport, and all we could get was water. Dinner came to me in a cheap plastic bag. There's this pot of instant noodles, two bottles of water, and a packet of sliced bread. -

Bus upon arrival at the hotel
Seeing men in white and yellow outfits made me tense my back and sent a shiver down my spine. There were no details announced about what tests they are going to do to us. -

Bus trip
I chose to sit at the back as there are windows that are good for ventilation. There aren't a lot of passengers but everyone is a single passenger and distances each other when choosing seats. -

Minhang banner
This is the "Minhang" banner, the area that I live in. Seeing the banner gives me comfort and relief. I feel another step closer to home. We waited here for three hours as more people filled the waiting area. After this, we were taken to the bus to head to the hotel for further COVID19 testing. -

Shanghai testing #1
A group at a time, passenger names are called, and we are taken off the plane for the first round of testing. We gave in our health forms and were asked a bunch of detailed questions about our travels and where we stayed for the past 2 weeks. -

Plane View
Everyone on board is very well behaved. Most of the passengers are Chinese, and they keep their hands to themselves and use hand sanitizers very often. -

About to board the flight from Singapore to Shanghai. There are still people that don't wear masks or wear any safety measures or precautions. -

Pudong, Shanghai airport, awaiting bus 2020
After the tiresome testings and form fillings, I was lead to the side doors of the airport, The blue banners mark different districts and areas in shanghai, and I followed the path towards my area: Minhang. In the waiting area, almost everyone had a facial mask on and showed no skin except for the face. Some passengers even wore a one-piece white "sheet cover", usually seen worn by hospital staff. -

Gate C22
This photo was taken right outside of the gate, entering the plane. This was the last connecting flight I'm taking, from Singapore to Shanghai. I remember being super nervous and excited at the same time. -
