Sickness Thus far
It is currently the 25 of January 2021 and COVID-19 still runs rampant through the planet. As of now, 99.7 million people have been or are infected with this highly transmissible virus. 2.14 Human beings have died from it, but there is hope. 55 million people have recovered, and the first vaccination has been given to first responders and people over the age of 65. The vaccine was created by a company named Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca and more improved vaccines are making their way through the lab. It is my prediction that the COVID-19 Pandemic will be over within the next three years. -

Spredaing Pandemic
It was a late September night, the sky dark as coal. I was eating a delicious dinner of spaghetti al carbonara with my family when my father told us some scary news. The son of my grandfather's friend had fallen ill and died at the hands of COVID. I did not know this friend or his son at all, however, the fact that it could kill a perfectly healthy, young man really struck me hard, ad I'm beginning to see why my mother won't let me go to school. My father and grandfather attended the funeral, and I was left to think about how serious this pandemic really was. -

Covid-19: sickness begins
It was a cool, breezy Sunday afternoon. it was the third of April when the world had just started warming up to this infectious Covid disease. The memers were calling it the 'Rona. I was flipping through the tv stations and I came across the FoxNews channel. it turns out all this chaos and coughing came from Wuhan, China. Word is it was some guy eating a bat, contracting the disease from it. At first I thought "How stupid do you have to be to eat a bat"? I then realized I shouldn't be questioning the intelligence of others when I myself didnt think of pressing the "submit" button after turning in an essay. -

The Year Of The Rat
It was a dark, humid day in Westlake Village, California. as an avid member of the meme community, I was awake at 2:37 in the morning, looking at memes through tired, groggy eyes. I could hear my father typing away on his obnoxiously loud computer down the hall, endlessly working his heart out. My pet dog, Uma the pug, was snoring at the foot of the bed as I continued scrolling down the page, amusing myself. it got to a certain meme making fun of some "new black plague" originating in China, in its very early stages. I thought that couldn't possibly be true, as we are too advanced to be susceptible to some pandemic. fast forward towards the end of the year, and my entire reality. has been changed. you cant go into public without a blue, N95 mask covering your mouth and nose, hand sanitizer, toilet paper and water have all but disappeared from the supermarkets and grocery stores. I would sit in front of my computer, schooling from across a flat, lifeless screen. All because a warning went unheeded
