COVID
Luckily i have not been affected as much from COVID such as deaths. The only really bad thing that has happened to me was my uncle getting Corona and that was it. He only had mild symptoms for a couple of days and that was it. Now he's immune from COVID for a couple more months and then he has to start distancing again. Living through this pandemic really sucked though. I couldn't see any friends, I couldn't really go outside and everyone was panicking about the toilet paper and started buying toilet paper in bulk. It caused anxiety in many people and doing school online was just about the longest worst thing I've ever had to go through. Other than online school and staying inside, it was fine. I mean I got to play video games, sleep, and I did some workouts at home to figure out my record for Olympic type weights. Covid really affected my life and more so bad than good though. -

COVID
The mild symptoms you might have from COVID is a fever or chills, cough, maybe fatigue too. They would also get muscle aches, sore throat or a runny nose. Some severe symptoms you might get are difficulty breathing, high fever, persistent pain in the chest, or an inability to stay awake or wake up. The mild symptoms you just need to stay home for but the severe cases you would have to go to urgent care for. An experience I've had with one of my relatives getting covid wasnt really serious. it was my uncle and he was dealing with it fine with no severe symptoms and he only had it for a couple days. After that, he just took the precautions until the doctor said he was ready to go out again. Now he can't have covid for about 4 more months. -

Rules and Procedures
When I heard that we had to wear masks and keep 6 feet from each other, I didn't really mind it and thought it was a good procedure. I didn't think anyone would follow the 6 feet apart rule, although they would still wear their mask. About self-quarantining, I also though that it wouldn't have been much of a problem other than having to stay home from school. Even now the masks and social distancing don't bother me at all and I can follow them pretty well. I just think of it as keeping others safe if I dont really care about my own, which I still do though. But, if I dont for whatever reason I'll keep in check by reminding myself to care for others too. -

Virtual Learning
For my routine, I would usually wake up about 5 minutes before class had actually started. Between classes I just laid on my bed, doing whatever on my computer like games, youtube, but never homework until the next class. Then at lunch I would go downstairs to eat whatever was ready or anything my dad or mom had gotten. Eating lunch would usually take me about 15 minutes and then afterwards I went back upstairs to take a nap for the remainder of the time. Everything felt so slow and so boring and I felt like I wasted my time. The benefits of virtual learning are only not having to wake up at 6:30 and being able to stay home. The cons were it was boring, I had no motivation for anything, and probably just everything mentally and emotionally sucked. I just did whatever I was supposed to, and then maybe baseball practice after school. That was mostly all I did. -

COVID
A conversation I had probably back in February was with my dad. We had talked about what would happen if the virus came over here to America. He said that the stock market would crash, people would panic and go to mass hysteria, we would obviously have to quarantine too along with not letting people into stores and such. It did worry me at first but I had my doubts of much happening, although there still was a part of me that believed it would happen. But now that we're here I'm surprised he was able to accurately guess what would happen if the virus did come over here. When it first arrived, everyone panicked and stock piled on toilet paper or whatever, the stock market has been doing bad but I think it's gotten better, we were in quarantine for a while and those of us who are sick are still doing self quarantine. The stores and restaurants now have opened back up, some maybe just for pick up and stuff. The self quarantine has changed me a lot though, it really affected me negatively along with a lot of my friends and people I know. The stress and anxiety of just everything going on has worsened my mental state by a lot. -

Christmas
Christmas day was different for me because we didn't have any extended family over. Our extended family usually brings food and we play board games and stuff. I always just hang out with my cousins too. My mom says they love spending time with me so I decided that I wanna spend even more time with them than i already have been, except not recently due to covid.. This time, most of what I did was just boring stuff. I did still hang out with my family but it was just less festive and we all felt a little more exhausted. I did grill short ribs though, they were really good and I'm actually really glad I did that. But I really burnt some to a crisp and they just crumbled apart if I tried to pick them up. I couldnt see if they were cooked well or not because the fire was too big. I also built a robot which was one of my Christmas presents and it took me about 3-4 hours to do, I still have to try and program it though and assign which buttons do what on the remote controller it came with. I think I'll do that this weekend since I really wanna figure it out, I've just been a bit too lazy with it and never got to programming. But other than that i just talked about football and food with basically everyone. Although it was exhausting, it was still fun to do since it was different.
