symptoms
im really quite lucky to not have known many people with Covid-19, but there are a few people that I do know personally that have/had it. My friend avarie went to ohio for Christmas and on the trip back, they were starting to feel a little sick. they decided to go get tested and her mom was positive. she described feelings of shivers, runny nose, cough, sore throat, nausea, and feeling tires all the time. She was a very healthy person so it didn't affect her maybe as bad as it did others, but it was still bad. -

the beginning
The day before quarantine, I was with my friend and we had both just gone to a birthday. we knew about the virus but not about social distancing and masks. my dad had called me and told me to stay away from anyone. I was confused on why but when I went to Northern California, I realized that the cases in LA started to spike rapidly. from that moment forward, I wouldn't be seeing anybody for the next five months. when I went up there in November, there were few cases. Maybe 50. so when we went out to get food, groceries, or anything like that, I realized nobody really bothered to wear a mask. of course my family still did but we ended up getting weird looks from other people for wearing one. it was really strange. -

covid origins
At the first thought of the virus, I wasn't sure what to think. I heard many things like "Covid came from China" and "Covid has always been around but it just got worse now" and other things like, "Covid is fake". I thought that Covid wouldn't be as bad. and that it would be something like the flu. when more and more people started dying, I realized how bad it actually was. I believe that Covid has always been around in the world. That maybe its been in our air forever and something happened for it to get to this point. Covid is not fake. it is very much here, and in the air. I also believe that Covid started in a certain point of the world and was brought to a heavily populated area and spread from there. -

Christmas with covid
for Christmas the year, it was definitely different. Since I have divorced parents, I was spending this year with my mom. On Christmas Day, we would usually wake up at 8 or 8:30. but this year we ended up waking up at 9:30. it went by very fast. we went in the living room and opened our presents. then we had bacon and eggs while we watched the grinch. the day went by very fast and before we knew it, it was already 6:00. we had our Christmas dinner, which was, steak, mashed potatoes, green beans and cranberries. just a standard traditional Christmas dinner. then, I FaceTimed my friends to show them what I got. I would usually go over to my cousins house but this year we stayed home and didn't see anyone. I ended up taking a shower and then going tom bed at around 11:15.
