Final Thoughts and Statistics of COVID
Corona Virus statistics show that up until we had the vaccine the number of people who had it increased day to day and once the vaccine was released the amount of people affected has gone down. I have not personally been affected by corona virus except by having a couple friends and a teacher who had it. I was near those people and had to stay home for ten days due to the exposure. Some things I have enjoyed in this Covid season are being able to have tons of free time to do whatever I want, such as redecorating my bedroom and invest and watch the stocks from day to day, but also having too much free time is not fun when you have nothing to do. I have also experienced having to stay overly clean washing my hands every twenty minutes and wearing a mask out in public which are definitely things that I have not enjoyed. This has been a very eventful year with Corona Virus. -

Symptoms of COVID-19
Having been in a year of the corona virus pandemic actually was very helpful in learning about health and disease although it is a terrible disease. We have seen many symptoms with COVID such as loss of smell and taste as well as other flu symptoms. Fever or chills and coughing or shortness of breath are the most annoying symptoms I have seen. One of my friends had the corona virus and had no symptoms in other words asymptomatic. Fatigue and muscle or body aches are another flu like symptom that is very common. So over all I have learned that through COVID we should learn to stay healthy and clean and wash our hands. -

Rules and Procedures
We have had and still have many rules and procedures during the corona virus pandemic. I have very much disliked some and appreciated others. One procedure that I have appreciated being online was having a very easy structure and schedule and one that I have not liked was having too much freedom during classes. Sometimes in class I would be lazy and not paying attention while in person you can't be relaxed on your comfortable chair with a blanket. One rule that I have appreciated was full time class, some schools do not have a full school day with merely one or two hours of classes. One rule that I have disliked is being in class the full 80 minutes and I lose attention span within that time frame. These are the rules and procedures I have experienced during the corona virus pandemic. -

Remote Learning During COVID-19
During COVID our school was shut down due to the corona virus. We were sent to online school although we still had the teachers with us on zoom. My routine stayed the same from day to day, wake up, eat breakfast, shower, and open my computer at my desk. It was both beneficial to wake up later in the morning but also there were many obstacles with turning in assignments online rather than paper in person. Usually our lunch was very late and by our schedule lunch period I was very hungry. Another benefit though was that I never had to walk very far or prepare a lunch before school. This was my experience with remote learning during COVID-19 -

Origins of the Virus
I first thought the corona virus 19 was caused by germs and was very similar to simply the flu. I have found that to be true and my opinions haven't changed but I have gained more knowledge about the virus such that it is caused by germs and specifically the covid germ. As I was discovering the virus I simply figured it was the flu although it is just a stronger version that could have no symptoms or a lot of symptoms and maybe a few different symptoms. I didn't think much of a COVID until it began to affect people in my town and at our school. I had correct thoughts of this virus but they were underestimated. I have found that we must wash our hands more often and be clean more often to keep this virus away. -

Christmas with COVID
Christmas in 2020 was different. Usually we visit relatives in Florida but due to COVID we did not want to risk getting the virus and giving it to our grandparents and great aunts and uncles. We decided we would have a stay at home Christmas and my parents went all out with decorating to make this a great Christmas even though we got to see none of our extended relatives. Christmas Eve came and we went to church, which was outside and very cold. On Christmas morning we began to open presents and it wasn't the same without my grandparents there but we got through it. Once we finished opening our presents we had to go get breakfast and we did not get to have our normal grits casserole that my grandmother makes. We had a French toast casserole instead which was still very good but does not compare to the grits casserole. We played with our gifts all day and that was that, my Christmas in COVID. -

Before Covid-19
Before Covid-19 in the year 2020 in February I was going to school normally and not thinking much of the virus I heard of that was in China. I thought it was just a small virus and we continued with our daily life. A few days later as I was waking up and eating my cheerios for breakfast and I told my parents that the faculty of Oaks Christian Middle School was talking about closing the school for a week or two and they were telling me that we would find a cure for the virus and the school wouldn't close. I believed that nothing would change but as the time was coming nearer I realized that we would be quarantined for a few weeks. A few days later as we started preparing to have online school I was hopeful it would only be a few weeks and here I am 8 months later telling the story.
