Statistics
As we may know a lot of people had or have Covid-19. Compared to the world population there are 7.8 billion people in the world and 99 million people have gotten it. The top cases are in the USA (25 million), India with (10 million), and Brazil with (8 million). Overall there has been 2.1 million deaths and the average age is 60+. I had a personal experience with my peers being represented in these statistics. My great grandma, my history teacher Mr., Newman, and my volleyball teammate. The one who hurt the most was my great grandma because she ended up passing away shortly after she caught Covid-19. In conclusion, I miss her very much and a big amount compared to the population got Coronavirus. -

From Brazil to the U.S
I am a Brazilian doing college in the US. When the Convid-19 got to brazil and the US, around mid-march I decided to go back to Brazil, my college made the decision to finish the semester online and I and my family thought was better for me to quarantine there than in the US. During this time the US decided to close the borders for non-USA citizens coming from Brazil, so when the time came for me to come back I had to stay 15 days in Portugal in order to be MAYBE be able to enter in the US with my student visa. -

中国ワクチンの治験中断…ブラジルで 新型コロナ(2020年11月10日)- Suspension of Chinese vaccine trial ... New coronavirus in Brazil (November 10, 2020)
Regarding the development of a vaccine for the new coronavirus, Brazilian health officials announced on the 9th that they have suspended clinical trials of Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac Biotech because of a "serious situation". The vaccine was developed by the Butantan Institute in São Paulo in partnership with Sinovac, and one of the participant was reported dead by health officials. The director of the institute says there is no link between death and clinical trials. In Brazil, at least 9,000 people participated in final-stage clinical trials. AZ governor's office assures residents its COVID infection rate lower than Brazil or Peru
It's odd that the U.S. response to COVID has been disjointed among national, state, and municipal efforts. Peru had a strong, concerted national effort, but there are so many factors that are contributing to the spiraling infection rate including a day-to-day economy, and the lack of economic support for families. But for officials in Arizona to point the finger and say- hey we're doing better than...seems shameful. Our infection rates could be under control if we followed a systematic public health program. Instead, most businesses are so desperate to reopen like bars and restaurants that they don't really protect customers or staff. The rate of infection among young people started to creep up after Arizona reopened in May, and last week Tempe had to close its bars again to get the situation under control. -
