April 5, 2020Weekly Mass in Binghamton Has Gone Digital; Live Streaming Easter Sunday Mass
Schedule for local churches (Saint Patrick’s and Saint Thomas Aquinas) for the week of Easter Sunday, Binghamton, NY. Mass no longer meets in person, instead it is suggesting that we watch a live stream and receive a “spiritual communion.” This is the first year my family won’t be going to Easter Sunday Mass. -

Since the lock down, some churches in Kansas had filed lawsuits against the governor and her administration's orders to restrict large public gatherings and advocate social distancing. The churches are “arguing that social distancing orders violate the 1st Amendment right to freedom of religion and assembly”. Church officials state that they can practice the same social distancing manners that occur in grocery stores and other outlets.
