  "The End is Nigh"

  Walking down the street, it is more likely than not for one to stumble into a message like this. While many of these messages serve as a way to limit anxieties—bringing Chicago together in this ‘shelter in place’ initiative—this message differs. I cannot say that this is meant to bring people together. Yet, in a way, it is relatable. These last few weeks have produced a range of emotions in everyone—and while it is important to produce uplift for pedestrians emerging from their homes, it is also important to recognize that messages like “the end is nigh” is equally representative of the emotions that are present right now. #DePaulHST391
