Discord Dodgers Fumble
After multiple games on CS:GO Sam, Will, Mateo, Elias, and I decided to watch the stream of the 2020 World Series game 4. Will projected the game in the call on discord. Many of us including me dislike the Dodgers and therefore rooted for the Rays. When Brett Phillips went up with runners on 1st and 2nd we were thinking it was the end because of Philip’s poor stats. I remember distinctly not being able to hear anything in my headset because we were all screaming so loud into our microphones on the call when Brett singled into center. The center fielder fumbled the ball wasting time and on the throw the catcher dropped the ball scoring 2 and giving the Rays the win. It makes me sad that we can’t meet and see each other to watch the game but, it was nice to play and listen to my friends. -

Phillies place four players on the COVID-19 injured list
This is an article that I wrote on July 3rd, detailing how the Philadelphia Phillies placed for players on the injury list because of exposure to COVID-19. This is an important piece to me because it is one of my first forays into sports journalism, and it also shows how the pandemic affected my favorite sport. -

CUBBIE TEE
This is a photo of a public service announcement as well as sale to the public of the tee-shirt pictured. It was sent out by email to fans of the Chicago Cubs. The man holding it in the photo is a member of the team. It’s important because it publicizes the need to keep your hands clean as to not spread germs. Notice the team mascot/trademark is wearing a mask. A reminder to wear a mask and not spread the virus. It's important to me because I'm personally affected on two levels by persons not practicing proper precautions. One , I'm a member of one of the high risk groups …and two my wife is a member of two high risk groups,. So I'm very interested in protecting myself , my wife and others. -

Covid-19 through the MLB early on in the season
I am a huge baseball fan and I think this sport this year is the most important with all the changes with 60 games in 66 days, no fans, and enforcing covid rules for teams -

Professional Sports in a Pandemic
Professional sports have been a way for our nation to heal in the face of tragedy. It has given us a distraction from the everyday struggles and misfortunes. But this time is different, with a virus that's easily transmitted and unknowingly spread we face a problem we never thought we'd face. The ethics of continuing sports became unclear and the athletes safety was in the balance. Putting ourselves in their shoes is difficult when we look to sports as an escape from life in involuntary seclusion. -

Professional Athletes and Schools
When the schools originally shut down back in March, professional sports league were quick to follow congruently. Distance learning doesn't necessarily carry over to sports. As Summer reaches its height, everyone is itching to return to school and get sports back on as quickly as possible. What this looks like is playing out differently in various job spheres. This item was added TAGS v6.1.9.1. I originally searched under the hashtag #schools. Within that search, I have chosen to add the following tweet because it highlights the priority levels in the United States for different types of workers.
