My Story: I Got COVID-19 Because of ICE
I am sending a diary style writing where I share my experience during the pandemic. I focus on the issue of ICE during the pandemic. Before the lockdowns, my uncle was detained by ICE and was deported during the pandemic. My uncle has been living in the US for 25+ years and Mexico, my uncle's home country, has changed a lot since he last lived there. For that reason, I went to Mexico to take him home. This made me get COVID. -

On top of wearing masks while on duty, the Guard rescheduled their induction ceremony to October; a rite of passage that normally occurs on May 6 and coincides with the anniversary of their famous 1527 last stand to defend Pope Clement VII. While the Swiss Guard fought a mutinous foe hand-to-hand nearly 500 years ago, this unseen enemy can only be combated through masks, crowd control, and strict social distancing. -

In this article, Pope Francis addresses the COVID-19 pandemic. In Vatican City last year, there were "70,000 pilgrims crammed in St. Peters Square in Vatican City" for Easter. This year it was nearly empty. Several artists took photos of the Pope delivering his prayers in and eerie and artful way.
