Gloves rise in price due to corona, temporarily eliminate import tariffs (December 3, 2020)
The aim is to reduce the impact on medical care and nursing care. The government and the ruling party are planning to temporarily remove import tax in the next fiscal year's tax reform in response to the sharp increase in demand for disposable gloves and increasing prices in the medical and nursing care fields due to the influence of the new coronavirus. Most of the disposable gloves supplied domestically are currently imported from China and Vietnam and are subject to a 5.8% tax rate. The policy is to include it in the tax reform next year with the aim of reducing the impact of increasing prices on medical care and long-term care. Video translated by Youngbin Noh
