Blood Donation

I donated blood today. They've had a shortage of donors, so I decided to do it. Pretty simple process, and I got to talk to people in real life and they gave me snacks after. It was actually fun. My mom made me the mask.

Because of the pandemic, the Red Cross has had to cancel thousands of blood drives and hospitals are experiencing a shortage. Although the thought of leaving the house right now makes me anxious, I wanted to do what I could to assist others in some way. The Red Cross has amped up its protective measures: temperature checks at the door, hand sanitizer at every step of the process, and even wrapping the stress balls in gloves. I'm worried about getting sick and hope to do my part to stop the spread of Covid-19 by staying home, but this is one thing I can do outside my house to protect others.
