American Samoa's Children Vaccination
With schools opening back up in American Samoa, children are required to get vaccinated. As the Department of Health points out that children will not be accepted into school if their vaccinations are not updated. The Department of Health has put out this flyer on June 26, 2012, for the public especially working parents to get their children's vaccination after hours from 4-7 pm on June 27 - July 1. -

Save our Children Tour?
The anti-vaxxers are out in full force. Disguising themselves as Patriots dedicated to personal freedoms and, for some reason, the saviors of children? This Save Our Children tour harkens back to Anita Bryant’s homophobic “Save Our Children” movement in the 1970s but it’s unclear if they’re the same thing? No about page on their website. I find this disturbing that not only are people hesitant to get vaccinated, some groups are mobilizing to spread misinformation and disinformation about the vaccines as well. This comes in the tail of Neil Young’s ultimatum he delivered to Spotify about their hosting of Joe Rogan’s podcast. Neil Young and now Joni Mitchell have demanded that Spotify drop their music if they keep hosting Joe Rogan. Spotify’s stocks are way down since they chose Joe Rogan over Neil Young. -

COVID scam awareness sign
When I visited the library today, I noticed in the large assortment of flyers on the community posting board a flyer warning about COVID-19 scams. The flyer is from the California Senior Medicare Patrol, and mentions a variety of different scams related to vaccine distribution that people should avoid. It also provides a hotline phone number. The photo was taken on June 24, 2021. -

Northern Arizona's Coconino County "Face It" Mask Campaign and Online Toolbox
The Coconino County Health & Human Services department created its "Face It" campaign in 2020 to promote the use of masks and face coverings in their communities. The following webpage is for the campaign's digital "toolbox" to give the public access to official signage for display to customers, the public, and employees to address mask use issues. -

Photograph of a flyer.
This is a photograph of a flyer posted on the side of a Hispanic grocery store at the end of my street in Northside Chicago on my way back from a quick grocery trip. This GoFundMe was created March 20th by members of the Uptown Buena Park Solidarity Network. The Uptown and Buena Park areas are home to older people, people out of homes, migrants of many countries and cultures, and more recently, young working professionals. The UBP Solidarity Network Twitter bio says they are, “an all-volunteer, grassroots group operating in Chicago's Uptown and Buena Park neighborhoods.” They set up Google forms for people in need to request groceries, bill payments or help being sheltered. Although they only exist on social media, they use physical signs because they do not want to leave out the members of the community who are most vulnerable at this time. Their social media provide links to forms where people can request help from older citizen care, grocery runs and helping with bill payments. #DePaulHST391 -
