Chicken (or Turkey) Curry
The attached text story is a curry recipe that my wife and I 'perfected' while experimenting with new recipes during COVID-19. With the additional time to cook it was fun to try new things in the kitchen. -

17 year old's life during the pandemic.
At the start of this whole pandemic i was hanging out with friends and doing all of my usual stuff. But then people i cared about caught the virus and died from it. So i have lost a lot. And the online classes is the worst thing i could ever do, because i feel like i haven't learned a single thing except for the fact that i hate online class. Due to this i think i may fail a lot of my classes which puts me way behind then where i'm supposed to be. -

#JOTPYLesson from Fafifo
I learned that patience is very important. With all that’s going around it’s best to wait rather than making rash decisions. @ixizt @56388 @rovindia @marygar48875787 @Hsjbsh4 -

#JOTPYLesson from Marissa Rhodes
I learned that it's actually possible to feel part of a community even if you only interact with that community remotely. It's not the "same" as interacting IRL but it can be just as rewarding in its own way #JOTPYLesson @HeatherAHartel @betsyonhudson @KevinMKruse @e_b_bobadilla -

Virtual Learning
My virtual learning experiences wee pretty diverse. First, I needed to go on Zoom every morning on the weeks at home. Second, I needed to finish my work at home. Third, do the same thing again every week. I think that I have learned a lot of things in school while Zooming with my partners and teachers to go through different learning topics in my house. One of the obstacles in virtual learning are when you have hear something different that the teacher had said because of audio issues, technological issues and more. -

The Start
When i first learned about the virus i thought of it as just a surprise virus that would pop up in another country far away and it would be gone in a week. As it started growing and reaching other places in the world, I learned more and more about the virus and learned it was very serious. When I was told it originated from a street market in Wuhan, I wasn't surprised because it is a very poor filthy area where they sell meat. My opinions on this virus have remained constant, it is deadly, where a mask and do what you can to prevent the spread. -

Jewish Melbourne: Habo madrichim online
During lockdown, youth movements needed to move their programming online. In September the madrichim of Habonim Dror met for a peulah to learn about how to be inclusive of people with different needs: "last wedensday Mikey and Ashira from Friendship Circle of Melbourne ran an engaging and thought provoking peulah for all of the melbourne madrichim! We discussed how we can continue to, and create new ways of being accessible and inclusive in all of our spaces. Looking forward to continue to be partners with Friendship Circle of Melbourne!" -

The Challenges of Caring for Children and Working at Home
I have been working from home and caring for both of my kids with my spouse since March. It is challenging and chaotic, but also it brings a lot of joys in watching kids develop. Teaching at the university level has also brought its challenges and joys, but I hope that by making my own struggles visible, it makes me more relatable to students. -

Elementary School Distance Learning Homework Assignment
My town’s school is currently closed, so my little brother has been home for a few weeks. The school sent him a folder of homework to complete, which continues the curriculum they were working on but able to be learned from home. -

No More Different, Please
I really want more than really anything right now to go back to my usual routine and especially go back to swim practice. I am really fed up with doing different cross training to try to make my swimming not suck. It feels like even though I have been swimming competitively for seven years like I am not a swimmer. I haven’t even been in the water or gone to a practice in almost two months. I really don’t like how even if I go outside and go to a store that is open everything is so different and I can’t help wondering if these changes are going to last. Today I woke up I think the latest I have ever woken up. The difference is that when I saw how late it was, I jumped out of bed and got straight to work. I finished my workout so early that I got to make doughnuts. If COVID-19 had not happened I would have not learned all of the recipes I got to learn. However, I might have had my championship swim meet and been a better swimmer. *Original text in Creator: Nicole Dumitrascu #LSMS #NSD
