  Why Are There Different Forms of the Vaccine?

  There are a couple of reasons as to why there are different forms of not only the COVID-19 vaccine but of vaccines in general.   Differences and Similarities Between the COVID-19 Vaccines

  There are 3 types of vaccines that are or will be available in the U.S. 1. mRNA: uses part of the COVID-19 virus to create proteins in our bodies that our immune system can recognize and remember in order to fight the virus 2. Protein subunit: has pieces of the proteins that the COVID-19 vaccine uses (not the actual virus) that the body will recognize in the future that do not belong in the body 3.
