Unconventional Joy on the Green
It was a bright, sunny, and cheerful day in Staten Island, NY, as three boys embarked on a mission. Their goal was to create an amazing YouTube video that would uplift people's spirits during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Frankie Cappello, Johnny Philp, and Christian Pineda, best friends for many years, shared the dream of becoming full-time content creators, entertaining millions worldwide. In this particular video, the boys headed to La Tourette Golf Course to film a prank-filled adventure, intending to bring smiles to others' faces. The first prank was orchestrated by Frankie, who pretended to swing a golf club (which was actually a selfie stick) and hilariously failed, exclaiming as he claimed to have fallen on his behind, surprising nearby golfers. For the second prank, Johnny and Christian approached a group of golfers, aiming for a "meaningful" conversation. Little did they know, the adult golfers decided to prank the boys by offering them a can of beer and jokingly asking if they were familiar with the popular song "WAP" by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion. After successfully capturing these moments on film, Frankie's sister Ava took a snapshot that would later become the video's thumbnail and a cherished symbol of their friendship. Following a long night of editing by Johnny, the video was uploaded to YouTube the next day, forever preserving the memories and spreading joy among the boys and their supporters. -

Brother Says He Lost His Taste To Covid-19
Funny video by Makenzie McClure on Tic Tok. She says her brother claims to be unable to taste anything due to Covid-19. So she makes him what looks like a pumpkin pie, but she uses beans instead of pumpkin. Yikes! If this isn't sibling love I don't know what is! -

Covid and Lacrosse
Ay wat up Journal? This weekend I went to Utah for a college lacrosse recruiting tournament and showcase. During the showcase last Friday night, my team went 3-0 and I had Dallas and Tulsa looking at me. Saturday, while playing with Booth we won our three games that day. I had a bunch of turnovers, GBs, and clears. Later that day i went to walk around the Temple grounds since our hotel was only a block away from the temple. Sunday, we won our semi-final game by one in overtime! We won the championship game by one also in the last 30 seconds of the game! Both games we had to come back after a three point deficit. The games were extremely intense and all of us had to ball out in order to secure those dubs. Matt and I taped five jars of pickles to John’s and Henry’s hotel door using lacrosse tape. We also filled up a wastebasket with water and pickles and leaned it up against their door. I'm extremely grateful that this tournament wasn't canceled. All of my other tournaments for lacrosse have been canceled. We were supposed to go to Las Vegas and Tuscon. I just hope that I have enough film to make a highlight reel. -

TikTok Saving Millions from Boredom During the Pandemic
I chose this because I think it was actually really significant during the pandemic, and also just in 2020. TikTok is an app where people create 60 second videos, it can be dancing, making food, doing pranks, whatever you want. TikTok started becoming popular in 2019, but it really blew up in March when we were all stuck inside. I know from myself, I spend endless hours on TikTok, so did the rest of my family, even my parents. I haven’t met anyone who didn’t go on TikTok, or at least see TikToks online during lockdown, it was everywhere. I think this is significant to the pandemic and 2020, because it was how most of us kept busy, around the world. We were all watching the same videos, doing the same dancing trends, cooking the famous food for that week, etc. TikTok now has 850 million users. -

Worker Uses Green Screen During Zoom Meetings
This is a very funny Instagram post about a guy who used green screen and green clothes to appear as just a floating head on a turntable during his Zoom meetings. It shows that he is frustrated with the arrangements and wants to tell the world of his feelings.
