Plague Year
The Plague Year outbreak started in September 1665. The plague killed 7,165 people in one week. The Great Plague lasted for 18 months. At its worst, in September of 1665, the plague killed 7,165 people in one week. Around September of 1666, the great outbreak ended. The Great Fire of London, which happened on 2-6 September 1666, may have helped end the outbreak by killing many of the rats and fleas who were spreading the plague. The Plague killed an estimated 25 million people, almost a third of the continent's population. The Black Death lingered on for centuries, particularly in cities. Outbreaks included the Great Plague of London (1665-66), in which 70,000 residents died. -

where covid 19 came from
when I first heard of covid was when I was in my moms car like a little less then a year ago. On the radio it said there was a virus in china and the suspected its origin was in a meat market in Wuhan China. some people thought it came from a type of rat that when skinned it spread through the air. the more popular idea was it some how cam from a bat. I first thought it bit someone and gave it to them that way. but some of my friends thought it was from when the bat died or was eaten. I don't think anyone knows for sure where it came from but everyone knows it came from that meat market. -

Paste up street art, Ballarat
The pandemic has inspired a lot of creativity including street art. This example on a mail distribution box was spotted while walking in the local neighbourhood (walking being another popular pandemic past time). The design has a virus symbol together with a rat. ("The rat" is a colloquial term for Ballarat).
