Political Activism in the Midst of a Pandemic: Fordham Neighborhood Clean-Up
People gather on Fordham Road after the night of the looting to clean up the streets. It was amazing to see how many people were eager to get involved and help to clean up our neighborhood. I arrived at noon to help and there was barely anything left to do. This truly shows how much can be accomplished when everyone comes together and lends a hand. -

Massachusetts Commissioner of Public Health Orders: March 28 - April 2, 2020
These public health orders primarily address long-term care and assisted living facilities within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Specifically, they expand the number of medical personnel permitted to administer rescue inhalers and epinephrine injections in community programs, address the transfer/discharge of patients from long-term care facilities, while expanding the pool of nurses qualified to work in assisted living programs. Moreover, the orders give the Department of Public Health the authority to run criminal background checks on volunteers for MAResponds. Orders such as these detail the different ways that state governments, like Massachusetts, attempted to reinforce their healthcare system in the face of the pandemic. -

AZ Dept. of Health Guidance for Graduations
Guidelines issued by the Arizona Department of Public Health to school districts concerning graduation ceremonies. ADHS did not recommend holding ceremonies, but if districts decided to they should follow the guidelines. CCUSD held 11 smaller ceremonies and followed all CDC, ADHS and their insurance carriers recommended safety guidelines. Guidelines outlined by the CDC were part of the recommendation. -

Filming Online Church While Observing Social Distancing
A small church responds quickly to the threat of large gatherings. Despite not having a standing audio/visual team, a pastor quickly mobilizes volunteers to get church services online for parishioners while the production team observes social distance protocols. As a consequence, on the same day that the Los Angeles mayor announcing as ban of gatherings, the church posts its first online worship service.
