The Symptoms
The symptoms of Covid 19 varied wildly from person to person. Some people's symptoms were so bad that they had to be put on a breathing machine or were fatal, while others had no symptoms or had a mild fever or cough. The virus attacks the lungs and respiratory system. People died because the virus made it so they couldn't breath. To most people, the virus isn't such a huge danger, but for a small number of people such as the elderly or people with underlying health conditions, it can be very deadly. -

The Numbers
How much freedom we had throughout the pandemic depended solely on the statistics and numbers. If the number of COVID-19 cases was on a upward trend, then we had to stay at home and couldn't go places or eat at restaurants. If the numbers were on a downward trend, then things would open up until the cases started increasing. This has occurred throughout the pandemic. My final thoughts are that I can't wait for a time when we have no restrictions on the places we can go and when we can stop wearing out pesky masks. -

The Rules of Covid
This time of fear called the Coronavirus came with many rules and restrictions, many being annoying and unpleasant. During this epidemic we have had to wear masks to prevent us from spreading the disease through the air. Another restriction that have to follow is staying six feet apart from other people as to prevent getting the disease through close contact. At the time of writing this I would say that the whole world is sick and tired of having to seclude ourselves from other people. It has gotten to the point where many people are lonely and depressed. -

Remote Learning
During the time in which we had to quarantine at we had to attend classes online. I would wake up, get ready for class in the morning then sit down at my desk and get on zoom. I had to be on my computer for over 6 hours. It was honestly pretty hard for me to stay focused and learn like I would in a classroom. What was nice about online school was that I had a lot more freedom than I would if I was at school. It was a lot harder to stay engaged in class because the abyss of online school and quarantine made everything blend together and made life really gloomy and repetitive. Life was the same every single day, there was nothing unique or exciting about my days. There was really nothing to look forward to. -

The Origin
When the stories of this mysterious virus that was killing tons of people in China started popping up on the news, people thought that it had started from bats in a market. Now we know that this was a lie and that it really started in lab. I was kind of astonished that this huge disease started from a few small mammals that were carrying a virus. I was originally kind of confused that somehow a few people eating bats had started a world-wide pandemic. -

Covid Christmas
This Christmas was a lot different than the ones in previous years. Normally, my family would hop on a plane and travel to the midwest or the east coast to visit family. Because of the virus, we couldn't fly and visit our relatives so we wouldn't get infected with the disease. Over our Christmas break, we took smaller ski trips to Mammoth and in northern California. We spent Christmas and New Years as home though, which was actually a nice change from years past. Christmas could definitely gone worse and we just had to adapt our plans as we had all year long. -

The Beginning
In late February headlines broke out of a virus in China that was killing masses of people, I think most people in the U.S. thought that we were safe at first because there was a whole ocean in between them and us. Then, word spread that hoards of people were getting the virus in Europe. Then I think that a lot of us were starting to get worried. Eventually, in mid-March, we started having cases in California and we had to go to school online. This was unfortunate because it was right as the Spring sports season was beginning, it was fine though, because everybody thought that we would be back in school by mid-April. And here we are in mid-December, still not back in school.
