Post from Facebook group about COVID experiences and history
I think it captures the elements of human strength and tragedy experienced by people during this pandemic. I think that the hardship in NYC is felt especially strong in Easton, PA, as many people commute/have family in NYC/have lived in NYC. -

Uplifting Chalk Messages
This image shows uplifting messages written by children and adults in my hometown. It captures the feeling of my PA suburb currently; because kids are out of schools, most parents are working from home, and all social gatherings are cancelled, many families are spending time together outside. Some written messages we saw include "Keep going everything will come to you at the perfect time!" "Have an online Netflix party!" "Wash your hands!" and "We will get through this together!" -

Socially Distanced D&D Game (Dungeons and Dragons)
This photo by my mom (from her bedroom window), shows me, my sister, and two friends playing D&D, while seated 6 feet apart. This is before Northampton county PA instated a "stay at home" order to limit all "non-essential" social contact. -

Online Church Service
This image shows the online church service by the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Lehigh Valley on Sunday morning, 3/22/2020. This group service via Zoom, necessitated by the “social distancing” mandated during the COVID-19 crisis, shows how one way older people are maintaining social connections. I have censored names and other personal information. -

Carleton College Chapel in Minecraft
Carleton College students, like many college students in the United States, are currently facing several weeks of separation and online courses. To help foster connections to each other and to the campus we call home, we have begun to design a replica of our campus in Minecraft. This image is the impressively designed and highly accurate rendering of Carleton’s chapel in Minecraft. -

Carleton Campus in Minecraft
Like students from across the United States, Carleton College students are trying to remain connected during a 5-week stretch of online classes. One avenue of connection is our shared Minecraft server, in which we are building a replica of our college campus. This is an impressively designed and highly accurate rendering of our chapel on campus.
