CoviD statistics
Throughout this whole pandemic, there has been 3.19 million cases and counting only in California. From that, there has been 37,118 deaths also in California. Many of my friends and family have gotten this virus but thankfully none have died. This pandemic started in January 20, 2020 about a whole year ago and is still raging to this day. A part of the quarantine I still don't get is why it was 14 days, and now it is only 10 days to quarantine for. In the whole entire world, there has been 2.13 million deaths. Overall, living through this pandemic has been both good and bad for me. It has taught me a lot lot lessons, I learned more about myself, got to spend more time with my family, etc. The bad part is all of these deaths, masks and regulations, and being away fro my friends. -

CoviD symptoms
It was a couple weeks after the New Year. My coach had a fever and felt achey. He said maybe it was the flu, but he got tested for COVID. He realized that he tested positive. He had a mild cough, but couldn't sleep at night. Also, he had to quarantine for 2 weeks so I couldn't train or play basketball with him. My uncle also got COVID but his case was worse. He couldn't breathe at all and had to go to the hospital. He was there for around 5 days, and actually caught pneumonia from it. Eventually he recovered, but it was a crazy week. All in all, these are some of the symptoms that I have noticed in people. -

Virtual Learning with Covid
It started in March 18. The death of me. Online school... staring at a computer for 7 hours a day. My eyes hurting after each day. My mind racing at all times on other things. I sat at my desk in my room. I had barely any social interactions with my friends. All I could do was FaceTime or text them. The one nice thing about online school is waking up at 7:50 everyday. I also liked that during my breaks I could just shoot outside on my court at my house. Other than that, I am glad we are back in person school. -

Covid Beginnings
When this pandemic first started there were many different theories of how COVID-19 started. The one I knew about was this virus came from a bat in China. Someone ate it and got contaminated. To me, it sounded ridiculous because it didn't make sense to me that a bat started this whole entire pandemic. Since then, my opinion has changed. I believe that in China scientists were looking at the Covid 19 in a lab. I think it escaped and that's how it got out to the whole world. -

When I realized my life was going to change...
It is currently February 12, 2020. I am on the plane to go to Italy for 2 weeks on an extraordinary adventure with my friends from Oaks Christian. I land in Paris at first and I see the Eiffel tower as it is my birthday today. I couldn't have imagined my 13th birthday any better than to be in Paris. I have a great week touring all over Italy and I had np idea that my life was going to change forever. As I got to the airport in Italy to go back to California, they took my temperature and I thought it was very strange because they have never done that in the past. The security guard said because a new virus is appearing and they want to be cautious. I was kind of scared but I just looked past it. Then as we were in the airport one of the people in our group started throwing up everywhere and I got really nervous that they might have this new virus. I later realized she was fine but it was still scary. When I landed back into California, they I couldn't go to school for 2 whole weeks because the quarantined me because I was in Italy. I looked on my phone at the news and realized that Italy is surging with coronavirus cases. I ended up not have COVID-19 but it was still a time in my life I will never forget.
