Some Final Thoughts
Well this is it. Over all there are about 25.5 million cases right now. Just some final thoughts I hope that lockdown ends soon and that this NEVER has to happen again. Ugh it is so bad living in this pandemic, mask wearing, lockdown. So bad and so annoying. You can never do anything fun without a mask. Well I guess this is a time in my life I will never forget...EVER. It is bad but it is not the worst, I am just grateful that we at least get to go to school in person. Well it was wonderful writing these journals. -

Some Symtoms
During this year it has been rough, my grandpa got covid, my friends dad got covid. Most of the things I noticed though was that my grandpa got a fever and wasn't feeling well and then he was better the next day. My friends dad actually had to go to the hospital, he is all good now but still me and my family got really worried. The most of the common symptom of covid though is a fever, I know a few other people who got it and they weren't feeling great (just a little sluggish) and that they had a fever. Everyone who I know got who had symptoms had a fever. It is very weird. -

Rules to follow
When covid first started I don't think anyone knew what to do. Everyone was like wear a mask do this do that. I mean it really didn't seem necessary even now it still doesn't. I got called creepy for not wearing a mask. I think that yes we should take precautions but we also shouldn't have to be locked up. I mean eventually everyone is going to get covid. I mean there is really no escaping that. I mean we have to wear a mask, social distance, we can't eat inside any more. And I think it is the most idiotic thing ever in the history of things. I mean I get it if you are scared of covid I will respect you and keep my mask on but I mean come on really we can't take our masks off... At ALL! near ANYONE! In the entire time our nation has been around we have never EVER had to shut everything down. I understand masks and taking precautions and if your sick stay home but really lock down. I am just so fed up with this stupid covid lockdown. -

What I did
Over the course of online learning I would usually get up go to class and wait for a break. I would get up at about 7:45 and then get dressed in a cozy sweatshirt and some fuzzy sweatpants or shorts depending on how hot it was. Then I would look at my schedule and go to my class. After my class I would eat and then continue classes until the end of the day. I think the most challenging part of online learning was probably just making sure I had everything and that I wasn't missing a class or that my Wi-Fi was working. I think the best part of online school was getting to stay in my pjs. Over covid we decided to go to Nashville, it was so awesome. I barley had to wear a mask, and no one was really crazy about it. I loved it we got to eat out without a problem. I even got to go shopping. I got a rust colored sweater, some brown leathery boots, and a cute black bandana with orange, yellow, and green flowers. Over all I think the best part of covid (and by far the funniest) was when me and my dad went out to Malibu. We went to a shopping center and we were the only one without masks walking outside. This old woman was walking as well and when she saw us she called us creepy and moved to side like she was scared. I mean I get it but still how are we creepy for not wearing masks. Over all though, quarantine hasn't been that bad. -

The beginning of Covid
When this first began, people first thought that it was this crazy thing and we should be freaking out. Yes it is a big thing, but the media is just trying to blow it up, its not that bad. At first I didn't know what caused it, I just knew that it originated in China and that some how it got brought to the U.S. I first thought when we went into lock down that it would be for like a few weeks maybe even a month. Then 2 weeks turned into a month, and a month turned into 3 months, and 3 months turned into 7 months, and now we have almost been in quarantine for a year. I thought that the virus was just like another thing like influenza (flu) because it was a season where a lot of people get sick. Over this last almost year, my opinion has changed a lot. I think that the virus started in December late November, and that it didn't immerge until late February. I now think that some how someone in China caught it in late November and didn't show any symptoms. I think they then spread it to someone who showed symptoms and then that person spread it, so on and so forth. When I found out it was a lot more like the influenza (flu) then really anything else I wasn't that surprised, but I was kind of. -

Christmas and Covid
December 23rd, all of my family is finally here and we are preparing everything. My grandparents are finally here and I am so excited to celebrate with all my family. December 24th, we have just finished wrapping gifts and oh my gosh it took so long. I also had to help my aunt out so I didn't finish until about 6pm. I have just gotten dressed in my black poka-dot dress with a short skirt and a puffy plaid jacket, with white fluff. We had the best dinner a beef stew, with potatoes, carrots, celery, chicken broth, beef, and some other stuff. We finished off the stew and had a desert of chocolate chip cookies. At midnight (can't believe we made it) we opened all the presents. I got a Looney Tunes sweatshirt, fluffy caramel colored shorts, canvases, paint, more clothes, and a French easel. In the morning I went to my grandparents house and enjoyed an early dinner. We then proceeded to open presents, and had a wonderful time. All in all Christmas wasn't as different as I thought it would be. All my family was there, we ate a lovely dinner, and had so many presents. -

The day it all began
It was a normal day like any other. I got up, took a shower, brushed my teeth, and put on my uniform. I then headed downstairs to go eat breakfast. I got downstairs, had an egg, and then I got my backpack and got in the car. My dad dropped me off and then I had my classes. After school I heard people talking about a sickness but I kind of ignored them and proceeded down the stairs to carpool. My mom picked me up and then we headed home and I did homework and relaxed. The next day I got up did the usual and headed for school. I heard more people talking about this illness and I was kind of like. Oh well its flu season so it's probably the flu and so I cared on not expecting what would come next.
