  aftermath

  The coronavirus was spreading quickly. with the usage of masks and hand sanitizer, it looked like nothing had worked. When we first had to lock down in late March, there were about 16 people with the coronavirus weekly. About 2 weeks ago it skyrocketed to 260,000 weekly cases. That is over a 200% increase in cases! Out of all those cases, I only knew personally a couple of people that had the virus. It seems to have gotten a little better but once we say that we know that it can go downhill again. I don't believe I have gotten the virus personally in any way and my parents are very good at keeping me and my siblings safe. The experiences throughout the pandemic have been very rough but we can always take the good out from a bad situation.

  Plague of the year

  My family member actually came down with the virus. She said she seemed fine and normal. She had to stay in her room for 2 weeks and couldn't even go outside. She got it from one of her friends and she wasn't able to go and see her friends when she stayed in her room. After two weeks, she took another test and tested negative but still wore a mask around the house and whenever she left her room.

  New Rules

  Before we all had to do this lockdown and have this be normal, we had to get used to some new rules to follow. First of all, we had to get used to wearing masks and now we cant go grocery shopping without one. Another thing they implemented was social distancing. We had to stay 6 feet from every other person around in lines to buy something, in classrooms, etc. We were all under lockdown and now we couldn't even go to school in person. We didn't know when we would be able to go places without a face covering and be able to go hang out and just go back to our normal lives. But we wanted this to happen quickly.

  Remote Learning

  Learning virtually was not normal but we had to make it the norm. We were used to having everyone at school bunched up with no mask on. Now we were online in the comfort of our own homes looking at a screen with every student. I started to like online school. Siting with no dress code, being able to play video games like Call of Duty and NBA 2k in between classes. Eating whatever whenever we want and we enjoyed it. Until we all changed our minds and went crazy over the fact that everyone wanted to go back. An hour and 30-minute classes sitting in the same place with over amount of work to just take a picture and submit online. We took advantage when we were at school playing basketball at break and going to practice after school. We had to stay at home with nowhere else to go except grocery stores and the McDonalds drive-through. Everything was starting to get boring and we knew we couldn't stand these rules anymore and it was driving us insane.

  Carona Virus Orgin

  When I first learned about the virus I was hearing rumors about sickness like a cold being spread around China that people were dying from. The first thing I saw about how they had it was someone in a live animal market eating an animal that I was very surprised he got hold of. I feel like I know about the virus but I don't know any other stories about what would be a different story of how it started. I still belive thats how it started.

  A diffrent Christmas

  For many people Christmas in 2020 was a little different than in the years past. The Carona Virus on Covid 19 struck America and changed everything. In previous years we were able to go Christmas shopping with our friends in crowded malls and with no mask. But this year it was different and we would not know how long this difference would be. Having to stay in the environment of your home with not many family members to celebrate the holiday with. Having to Facetime friends instead of meeting up in person. It was different and we had to get used to it.
