Statistics
As we may know a lot of people had or have Covid-19. Compared to the world population there are 7.8 billion people in the world and 99 million people have gotten it. The top cases are in the USA (25 million), India with (10 million), and Brazil with (8 million). Overall there has been 2.1 million deaths and the average age is 60+. I had a personal experience with my peers being represented in these statistics. My great grandma, my history teacher Mr., Newman, and my volleyball teammate. The one who hurt the most was my great grandma because she ended up passing away shortly after she caught Covid-19. In conclusion, I miss her very much and a big amount compared to the population got Coronavirus. -

Symptoms of Covid-19
Throughout 2020 there has been many different symptoms of Coronavirus. The main ones are fever, sore throat, coughing. I had a personal experience with one of my family members getting the virus. It was my great grandma. My great grandma was my biggest hero. She went through many obstacles in her life including; World War 2, she was a model for Norway, and she even beat a pandemic. On November 4 2020 my family and i found out my great grandma was diagnosed with Coronavirus. Now she had many health issues and we all knew the virus would not help that. On November 8th she tested negative. We were all very happy she made it through. The next day she was not doing well and she passed away. She was surrounded by family on zoom to talk to her and I will never forget how amazing she was. -

My COVID-19 Christmas
My 2020 Christmas was different but some things stayed the same. I started out my Christmas break finishing online school for the semester. After I took my finals I started packing my suitcase to go to Colorado. I was born there and I have my whole family there. My mom and I go every year to visit my grandparents on their farm. My sister is in college in Arizona so she meets us in Colorado for Christmas. This year was different because she couldn't come to our grandparents house. She had to work. So on Christmas day we face-timed her to open presents and it was very fun. Another thing that changed this year was was the plane. We flew on United airlines and the plane was only half full. My mom and I wore masks and got our temperature taken before we entered the plane. We stayed in Colorado for a week and it was super cold, but there was no snow. After we flew home to California I spent the rest of my break playing volleyball at the beach and binge watching TV shows.
