2020-04-03During the COVID-19 Pandemic, my friends got COVID-19. I was very scared that I got COVID. So the hour after I was told that my friend had COVID. I went straight to the COVID testing center. While we were there, I was thinking about what would happen If I got COVID and how relieved I would be if I got the virus. 24 hours later, I got an email from the testing center. I was so nervous. I pressed the email and it said "Negative". I was so so so so so so so relived that I did not have COVID. Although I did not have COVID, I did stay home for a week just to be safe. I was also not aloud to see my friend for 4 weeks.
2021-01-19During the COVID 19 Pandemic, we have had to follow many new rules and protocols. For example, we have to wear a mask at school, we have to wash our desk of before class and after, we can't use the cafe, we have to use hand-sanitizer before and after class, we have to stay 6 feet apart at lunch and break, and much more. I feel that most of the rules/procedures are useful and make a difference in not spreading the corona virus. I think wearing a mask is very uncomfortable and doesn't due much but I still wear one a stay as safe as possible. Although they are not fun to do, they make a big difference and allow us the keep school open and not spread COVID 19.
2020-03-07During the COVID 19 Pandemic, we were not around to go to school. So we had to do online school over zoom. Online school had some pros and cons. So pros are getting to sleep in, getting to eat in class, and wearing pajamas in class. Some cons are you don't get to see your friends, you aren't able to meet new friends, you can't ask question very easily over zoom, you aren't able to see everyones face very easily and many more. I think that Oaks did an amazing job on Virtual Online Learning. We actually had attendance, we had on person days on Wednesday, we didn't have to wear a uniform, and many more. Overall, Oaks did an amazing job with Virtual Learning and it was a very cool experience too have.
2020-12-14The thanksgiving of 2020 is far different from every year. Due to the COVID 19 outbreak, I was not able to see my family over seas or my cousins. Spending Thanksgiving with my cousins and grandparents is one of my favorite things but I could not do that this year. So this year I stayed home and had thanksgiving with just my family. My mom, dad, brother, my other brother, and sister were all their. All the food was the same. We had turkey, ham, masked potatoes, gravey, green beans, mac n cheese, stuffing, corn, rolls, pumpkin pie, apple pie, and vanilla ice cream. After we ate food, we played board games and then went in my pool and lastly played basketball on the court in my backyard. Which was really fun. Overall, I think that I had a great COVID thanksgiving at home even though it was not the same as past years.
