Statistics and Final thought
Right now, if you look at covid-19 stats from around the world and it shows that there has been a small drop in the number of cases which is great! On January 23, 2021, we were below average on the number of cases per day. I haven't had Covid before so I don't know what its like, but it has definitely affected my day to day life, with masks and not being able to go to a lot of places. I am kind of over covid right now, and I want it all to just go away. -

Symptoms
My great aunt had covid. Her first symptom was the loss of taste and smell. She had the virus very bad and had almost all of the symptoms by the time the virus went away which included Fever or chills, Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Fatigue, Muscle or body aches, Headache, New loss of taste or smell, Sore throat, Congestion or runny nose, vomiting, and trouble breathing. She was hospitalized for about 3 weeks. -

Rules
The first really big change that happened was the masks. For the first month or so it was really hard to breath but I have gotten used to it. I also couldn't leave my house for a couple months and the only time i left my house was to go to the grocery store and I couldn't leave the car. I felt very happy to even just go into the car. Staying in the house for that long got kind of boring though. -

Virtual Learning
Every day I woke up at about 7:45 am and school started at 8 am. I brushed my hair and brushed my teeth, put a sweatshirt on, and joined my zoom class. The benefits of this online learning were that I could get up a lot later than I normally would have for in-person school. I usually wake up at 6:45 am for in-person school. I also got to leave classes early when I finished my assignment and it was very nice. All of my assignments were usually finished by 3 pm that day. I had lots of problems with wifi though and it wouldn't let me access tests/quizzes and homework assignments. Also whenever I used OneNote, it deleted all of the work that I had written in. -

The Beginning
My mom said that we were going to keep me home from school for a couple of days and I remember thinking...what is happening? I stayed home from Wednesday-Friday and on that Friday, my mom drove me to school in our Black honda to go pick up my books and clean out my locker because we were going to have an "extended spring break" which really turned into 8 months+ of online school. I thought that this was all super crazy! I was in shock that we had to stay home and learn from a computer. My opinions have changed a bit from back then. I started off thinking that this all would fly by and we would be back in school in a couple of weeks and maybe a month, but now I am not even sure if the world will ever be the same. Will we always have to wear masks? Maybe, but no one knows because the virus keeps getting bigger and bigger. I just couldn't believe that all of this was happening, at first, I thought it would be fun, but as time went by it just got kinda boring. -

Corona-cation
We started hearing about the coronavirus in March 2020 so my family started stalking up on canned foods, toilet paper, and all of the essentials. We stocked up just in time too because as the week went on, everything we had bought started having a limit on the amount you can buy and they were going out of stock in almost every store. We had to stay in our house for about 4.5 months and i couldn't see any friends in person, only through a screen. When i finally saw only one of my friends months later after quarantine started, it didn't feel real. It was almost as if she was a ghost or something. I was happy to see her though and since then my family and I has been very careful about getting the virus.
