How covid affected me
I was driving back from Mammoth when my mom got the email that someone in my church that we see every week got covid. I immediately got worried because I was spending time with them at church. After we got that email, we realized that we had to be more aware of how close the virus was to home. We all got tests the next day and panicked until we got the results that we were all negative. This experience was very stressful and I do not think I want to relive that feeling. -

Rules of Covid
During the ongoing COVID pandemic, there have been many rules that we have to follow. Some of them include social distancing, no gatherings, and quarantining. I personally hate all of these rules because it doesn't allow me to hang out with friends and family, and have fun in person. However, I know that these rules are for a good reason and that I should be able to follow these rules knowing that they are beneficial for my health and for others' health. Overall, these rules really suck, but they are for the better good of our well being. -

Virtual learning
During the crazy year of 2020, we weren't allowed to have school in person. Instead, we had to learn remotely. There was both benifits and obstacles in this time. Some of the benifits were that we didn't have to wake up early, or go to different periods, because everything was one click away. Although there were some benifits, there were also difficulties. Some of them included no socializing, technology could sometimes fail, and we didn't have the same tools that we had in the classroom. Overall, this year has been a great change, and I think that we haver to start getting used to a different life. -

Cause of Covid
For about a year now, we have been quarantining from covid-19 and there are questions to how it started. I believe it started and the cause is from a disease from bats. I believe this is true because of all of the information we gathered from the scientists. I also believe that the people we can say caused it are the people who ate the bats. -

My Covid-Christmas
During Christmas of 2020, it was not the usual one, but still a great one. Instead of the usual traditions, of going to my family's house, we had to stay home by ourselves. One way we did meet up with family though, was through the app zoom. We all went up to zoom and talked for an hour or so. We were still able to open gifts with cousins, but outside, socially distanced. I really enjoyed Christmas this year, despite the unusual circumstances. -

My Covid-Thanksgiving
The year 2020 has been a very strange year, and my families Thanksgiving experience was an odd one. Since we couldn't have a large family dinner, we ended up bringing food to both of my grandparents. I was really bummed to not be able to spend quality time with them, but I was still glad to get the opportunity to see them. After we left our grandparents, we went to our cousin's beach house. We were scrambling throughout the city trying to find an open restaurant for our Thanksgiving dinner. None of the restaurants were open, but we luckily got a call from our friend to have our Thanksgiving meal with them. The lesson I learned from this day was that having close family and friends really matters and that they can get you out of any tough situation. Overall, my Thanksgiving during the pandemic was not an ideal one, but it was still a blessing to be able to be with my family and friends nonetheless.
