  What happens when the virus isn't a mystery anymore.

  Several months into Covid and the virus was still really a mystery to me. I had heard stories and new the facts about Covid, but I hadn't experienced it or knew anyone who had. However, that changed when someone I knew had tested positive for covid. During a school activity, I had been right next to them, I could have got Covid as well! However, I didn't show any symptoms and was fine even after a few weeks. Even though I had to quartine for a while I was fine. However, it showed me that Covid was no joke and I became more aware of the virus and really how quickly it can spread.

  The rules of Covid-19

  During Covid-19 many rules were erected to "slow the spread" of Covid-19, a lot of these procedures people didn't like and they often disobeyed them putting their and others health at risk. I partially agree with these people I do not love the new regulations but I them necessary. Take wearing a mask for example, the mask makes it hard to breath and can be suffocating for some degree some people don't wear them at all, but i can say that mask do indeed work. My first hand experience was during a "wellness Wednesday" that our school did to have people come to get together and do activities, i was in the same group as someone who later tested positive for Covid and I didn't get Covid at all. So although the procedures aren't fun they are very necessary.

  Leaning Online

  Social distancing has brought many changes to my life but none as great as school online. At first, when we went online for school we didn't think that it wouldn't last very long and we hadn't planned that far ahead. At first, learning online was great we could get up five minutes before class started, so we got to sleep longer, also if we finished all our assignments for a class we could leave early. Also during break, we were at home so we could do what we wanted during that time. However, after a while it began to get old, not seeing friends being at home the entire time, and just a day after day of the same thing, it began to get old. Although online learning had both its benefits and negatives it was necessary to slow the spread of covid and minimize the risk.

  The cause of the Cornavirus?

  There have been many different theories on what caused covid-19 many of which are ridiculous ideas. A few of these include bats, 5G cellphone towers, pangelions, and genetic modifications. However, I think that the coronavirus is a regular strand of virus that mutated normally to make it harder to stop allowing it to spread rapidly across the world. This has happened before in several different viruses and pandemics before including yellow fever and polio. This is what I believe is how covid-19 started however I could be completely incorrect and this is just my opinion.

  How Christmas was like for me this year.

  This year Christmas wasn't exactly normal with covid ragging everywhere and in a few places getting worse. Normally For Christmas, we travel out of state but without being able to get on a plane, as it would put us in danger of getting Covid. So instead we drove up to Lake Tahoe to see our grandparents, aunt, and uncles, as well as cousins. However, we didn't stay up there very long as we wanted to be home for Christmas. Besides that, we were home all of the time and I and my family had a little case of cabin fever so we spent some time with friends that we had been previously been exposed to. All in all Christmas this year was very different.

  Covid Thanksgiving

  My thanksgivings was not exactly normal however it was a holiday and a change from the normal grind of school so that was a good thing. At least I got a chance to take a small break before going back. However, with covid raging everywhere we weren’t able to have our grandparents or family over like we normally do. Instead, we decided to have Thanksgiving with a family that we are close friends with and had been exposed to. However, even that was a bit weird no handshakes, no high fives nothing that brought people too close to one antother. Besides that our thanksgiving was relatively normal except for the fact that we had planned to be outside in a well ventalted as recommended, but that changed as it was too windy to eat outside. All in all, it was a pretty weird thanksgiving, but it could have been a lot different.
