Statistics
The statistics are pretty complicated but ill explain. The most popular state that has Covid is California (The state I live in) with a whopping 3 million+ cases. The amount of cases per day in California is about 30,000 a day which is actually really sad because we have to do so much stuff to keep us safe more than other states. Since there's so many attractions here, of course a lot of people want to see it and they come and travel. -

Symptoms
Pretty much the symptoms of having Covid vary. Some of them are simple coughing, no sense in smell nor taste, and sore throat. Some more severe symptoms include not being able to breathe clearly, nausea of vomiting, fever or chills, and many others. It honestly depends on your health state and if you have a strong immune system or not. -

Rules & Procedures
When I first heard that we had to wear masks in any restaurant, store, market or any public place I was scared. I was scared because that's when I thought everything was getting serious. In the beginning me and my family would always forget and sometimes we had to find a gas station or sometimes all the way back home to get a mask or we couldn't go inside. When things started to get bad in Ventura food was only to go and for order. We couldn't dine in anywhere and everything was eaten at home. Every time we would go for a hike there were people that would freak out and yell at us for being "too close" to them or whatever. All the time in public places there was a possible chance for getting yelled at from someone for not having the mask above your nose. Soon when things started getting worse we had to wear masks while at sports! I do gymnastics so it was even more difficult because I couldn't see below me because of the mask. My family hates wearing the masks but we do so anyways. -

Virtual Learning
Virtual Learning was CRAZY. SO many pros and cons. Some pros are that we get to stay home and have our choice of lunch and we also get to be anywhere like on vacation and stuff as long as we had wifi we could do it. Some cons is that its SUPER distracting and soooo many temptations such as going downstairs to eat during class, going on your phone and do other stuff, and also, (the biggest of all) people cheating on quizzes and tests. All you have to do is have the quiz or test on one tab, and the answers on the other. I like in school learning wayyyy better because I get to see friends, get more exercise instead of being cooped up in my room, and be more focused during class. AND THE AMOUNT OF STUDENTS THAT FORGET THAT THEY AREN'T MUTED IS HILARIOUS!!! THEY'D BE WATCHING VIDEOS OR PLAYING MUSIC OR TALKING TO SOMEONE OFF OF MUTE AND THE WHOLE CLASS WOULD HEAR!!!! In some cases, some did get in trouble for what the situation was and what they were playing. Some zoom classes were also getting leaked (I was in one of the leaked zooms) and some random person would take the name of a student and then do something inappropriate and leave right after so we would know who it was. It was obvious a student leaked the zoom call because how would a complete stranger have the same exact name as a student in the same period? Anyways I personally prefer in person learning far more than online. -

My Covid Christmas
Don't get me started on Christmas. It was good but... stressful. It's a tradition for my family to go to Mammoth Mountain to ski and snowboard for the week of Christmas. It's always so so so much fun with all the snow but this year there was barely any snow! We thought cause of covid not so many people would be there and with there being little snow but THERE WAS A GOOD PLENTY OF PEOPLE! Since everything was closed we rented a condo from a family friend of ours and we arrive to the place and we find an orange envelope taped on the door! So we get inside, unload everything, and we open the envelope thinking it was from her to us. We find papers of a fines for the owner because they previous people who rented it were too loud and I guess it wasn't the first time it happened. People reported her condo and they ended up getting fined 1,000 dollars! It also said on another sheet of paper that she now can't have anyone renting out the condo because of traveling purposes. So, we had to stay undiscovered. We couldn't be seen by anyone that lived there because we might've gotten kicked out! So, for the rest of the week we had to stay silent. I felt like Anne Frank for Petes sake because we had to whisper. Finally when it came Christmas Day, we opened presents and everyday we went on the slopes so it was worth it in the end.
