Email from Nancy F. about life during the Pandemic in Baltimore
This is an email a very dear friend wrote to me. We are both teachers. She retired this year. The pandemic hit when she was adjusting to retired life - pursuing new hobbies and also keeping up with former colleagues like me about school. *Nancy F. A retired private school teacher. *Nobody else contributed. -

Quarantine Blues
Today I decided to take my sister to preschool. I did this because I was at home and because of the virus she had to miss preschool. Next week is her birthday and there are only a few kids in her class to celebrate. Since she missed preschool, she cannot have her preschool graduation because the kids did not have enough time to learn the songs. Since her final days in preschool are somewhat sabotaged, my mom and I went to get her tons of decorations for her fifth birthday. We went with a unicorn theme because that is what we could find the most decorations for, because of the virus there are not many decorations for things like L.O.L Dolls or My Little Pony. This virus has really impacted my sister’s birthday which means a lot to her as since she is just turning five. She won’t get the cake she wants, her ideal theme had to change because of what is in stock, and she cannot invite any of her friends over for a party. #LSMS #NSD -

Drums
Since the start of quarantine I've found myself with so much more time on my hands than I ever have before. So as a result, I figured I was going to practice and practice and practice until it was over. I can tell that even a month in my playing has improved significantly. *Uh me *It is ma drums lol, Photograph -

Food insecurity Facebook group
Facebook is a great place for groups to communicate and seek help. Rapid Response WV created a community group for West Virginians who may be experiencing food insecurity. With a loss of jobs, people may be struggling to afford food and this group acts as a resource to those who may need it. #NortheasternJOTPY *Anjelica Oswald, Northeastern University -

A School Parking lot
This is a school parking lot at about 1pm, normally, this would be towards the end of the school day and there might be students walking between buildings. Now, it is empty as students have to complete work from home and cannot be at the school. *5/7/2020; Covid-19 -

Memes to Share
This pandemic has had me home for months; no job, no school, no family to see. I am stuck in my house without my best friend who lives states away from me. These memes are what we share together, ways to make each other laugh and conversation starters. These are even things that I am able to share with my brother and his wife, who is currently undergoing testing as she is starting to show some symptoms. They are ways to make us laugh. *These are a collection of memes. -

Social Distancing
During this pandemic we are not allowed to go out to see other friends or family members. My friends and I have been going on facetime or doing Zoom's together so we can still see each other virtually. In the screenshot it is a picture of my bestfriend and I on facetime together since we cannot see each other in person. Even though living through this pandemic is hard for my friends and I we are still helping each other out by being socially distant and not getting anyone sick. -

Keeping the Elderly Safe
Some people still have to live there lives and go out and help other's. My Grandfather needs a care giver everyday from when he wakes up to when he goes to sleep. We have to do everything we can do to keep him safe and healthy. He is a lovely man and all he wants now is for this to be over so he could go visit his wife in the nursing home, because they are all shut down. *taken on May 7th -

Quarantine Life
Two months into quarantine can take a lot of things away from us. Anne Frank had to hide from the Nazis by living a silent life. But we have the opportunity to do a variety of things. We may not always be able to go out on the streets or visit a friend or family member, but most of us do have a backyard. Nature is the foundation of life which I have always had a fascination for. So I set up my backyard and decided to explore this small world more frequently. There is always something to do in life, and it doesn’t have to be video gaming on the Xbox or binge watching Netflix. -
