A photo of an empty Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and beach with associated responses on Reddit.
An image shared on the Santa Cruz, CA subreddit showing the beach in front of the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk on day 60 the Shelter in Place along with some responses to the photo. This beach is usually very busy, especially on weekends during summer, and usually full of tourists visiting the amusement park. Because this beach is so busy there is usually a lot of trash here in the sand. I used to live near this beach when I live in Santa Cruz, and it is very weird seeing it empty like this at a time when it should be busy. -

Drive-By Graduation Party, New Orleans, LA
After I heard an unusual amount of honking, I stepped outside my home to see my neighbor decked out in her graduation cap and gown with an arch of balloons waving to friends and family who drove by in a series of cars honking and holding signs. -

Salamanca, Hobart
An image of Salamanca on a Saturday morning. Where usually there is a bustling market full of tourists and locals now there is a COVID-19 testing site. The area was mostly empty and silent, and those who did walk past looked tense and uncertain. -

Event sight left half constructed when Covid-19 hit
This is an event sight in Pickens, SC, a place to hold weddings etc. The parts which are finished are absolutely beautiful but work stopped on the rest of the grounds when the pandemic began and one has to wonder if the need for social distancing and the economic downturn will make it impossible for the owners to continue the project. The piece of land is beautiful if scarred up at the moment and if it doesn't end up an event space it should become a park. My partner and I stumbled across it looking for a place to turn around because Table Rock State Park was at capacity. We could always use more beautiful places to spend time in nature, especially now.
