People encouraged to sign up for CSA
People are being encouraged to sign up for CSA (community supported agriculture) to support local farmers and eat healthy during the pandemic. People stocked up at the grocery store when the pandemic started so it became harder for people to buy certain items. Enjoying Spring at the Park
This image was taken by me on one if my walks around a local park. I have been going to this park since I was three years old. Ever since the stay-at-home order was give for NC at the end of March I have noticed a much greater diversity in the demographics of people who visit the park.Traditionally the park would be populated by younger children, around elementary and middle school aged, along with young parents and their children. Now people of all types and ages frequent the park in an attempt to help normalize and adjust the the changes caused by the pandemic. Something I never expected to enjoy while going to the park is being able to see so many different people playing happily and making the best of the situation. Seeing others adjusting to the pandemic, in a way helps me accept the normalization of the changing social dynamics that have been created. -

The drive up testing site is finally open to those under the age of 65 with a fever and symptoms. My wife and I will try for a week to get tested because there are only 250 tests per day and thousands of cars lined up by hours before they open. #HST643 -

The California Valley Miwok Tribe’s Chairwoman Silvia Burley issued a statement in response to the $2 trillion coronavirus stimulus bill passed by Congress: “Our Tribe, like many others throughout the United States, will not see a penny from the federal stimulus package despite our members’ dire need and right to these funds. Coronavirus: Islamophobia concerns after India mosque outbreak
In the article, it is discussing how a Muslim gathering increased the number of coronavirus cases in India. Many Indians, especially the Indian government, are angry because Muslims recently held a large gathering with people who came from abroad. From this situation, many Indians are seeing Muslims as individuals who are creating more problems in the country by attending these congregations carelessly and not following the government’s advice. Therefore, there has been an increase in Islamophobia due to this event, and the Indian government has even charged the Muslim clerics for not taking the coronavirus despite the government’s warning. -

Hopi Tribe Issues Executive Stay-At-Home Order to Citizens
“As matters progress with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic, additional advisories and Orders may follow,” said Hopi Chairman Timothy Nuvangyaoma, “but we are implementing what precautions and restrictions that we feel are currently warranted to ensure the public health and welfare of our people. It is important to remember, as has been said before, ‘a virus does not move, people move it’, so we encourage the Hopi public to take charge of their own health and welfare and be cautious in their daily interactions with others during this time.” #IndigenousStories -
