  Disneyland 2021

  In July of 2021 my husband and I took our first trip since the beginning of COVID, to celebrate my graduation from the credentialing program, my birthday, and our honeymoon since we never got the opportunity before (we got married in January of 2020). We decided to take a trip to Disneyland for a few days, stay in the Grand Californian, and get park passes for three days because it was local and affordable, with the discounts they were offering at the time. At that point, there were no restrictions in place in public spaces. It was exciting to get out again but also a bit nerve-wracking as COVID was still an active concern of mine, we mitigated risks by wearing masks whenever we were indoors but decided to forgo them outdoors in the hundred degrees that California brings in July. It was a fun few days getting away from the stresses of daily life, though I wouldn't say that the stress and anxiety it gave me was worth it.

  Art Handlers, Contract Workers at Galleries Faced Steepest Losses During Pandemic: Survey

  The ARTnews article uses ADAA (Art Dealers Association of America) data from their official survey to consider the far reaching implications of the pandemic on the art world. Examples of staggering job loss in art handlers and contract workers in particular provide a look into possible changes in the artillery model for the short term while in lockdown. Quantitative data on online art fair participation, and percentages of galleries that received the PPP loan are included as well.

  Isolation Bedroom

  This is a photo of the Ormond College bedroom I spent my isolation period in after getting tested for COVID-19. Due to the majority of students at the college staying in a shared building, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities, a self contained residence such as this was seen as necessary to limit contact with other residents. Any student who showed flu-like symptoms, had interacted with a close contact, or had visited an exposure site, were therefore required to stay in a room similar to this one. Food was delivered to your door for the duration of your stay, and you were able to return to the college upon providing proof of a negative COVID result. The need for such isolation spaces was a result of living in a COVID society, and provided a solution to a unique challenge presented to the college. HIST30060.

  Troop 621 in the Mess Hall

  This is a photo of some Scouts from Troop 621, in San Ramon, eating dinner at the Camp Wolfeboro mess hall. The Scouts have masks around their necks. The photo was found on the troop's public website. The photo is identifiable as being taken on July 20, 2021 between 6:15 and 7:00, because Troop 621 attended camp during the fifth session (July 18 to July 24) and ate B shift dinner from 6:15 to 7:00, and part of Tuesday night's dinner was stuffing and mashed yams, which are visible on the Scouts' plates.
