Closing of bars and restaurants in New York State 03/16/2020
New York state closed all in-person restaurants and bars. This has affected me because this is a fun activity I will not be able to do with my friends. This also affects my friends who are waitresses. -

RIT cancels housing-03/16/2020
RIT orders all students to leave RIT housing by April 5th. Students can apply for exemptions, especially international students. This has caused my friends to move home and consequently leaving me friendless. -

Students Stocking Up for the Quarantine
This was the last day we spent on the same campus. At the time we didn’t know it was going to be goodbye. We were all trying to stock up on what we needed for a couple weeks to spend some dining dollars [on campus cash equivalency]. Clearly as RIT students we had our priorities in order. One of my friends had a basket full of Monster Energy Drinks, and the other had armfuls of boxed pasta. -

Empty Restaurant Due To COVID-19 and Charlie Bakers Shut Down of Bars & Restaurants
Empty restaurant, no tables day following Gov. Charlie Bakers announcement that all Massachusetts Bars and Restaurants will close from 3/17/2020-4/17/2020 (except take-out). This forces service employees to apply for unemployment.
